Cruella first appeared in the 1961 Disney animated film "101 Dalmatians." Betty Lou Gerson was the voice of Cruella in that film. In the 1996 version, Glenn Close voiced the part. Originally, Cruella only steals 15 puppies. She buys the other 84, then with Pongo and Perdy added to the mix...101 puppies!

The Disney-Pixar film "Ratatouille" came out in 2007. Actress Janeane Garofalo provided the voice of Colette. Colette, already a chef, is instructed to tutor Linguini, an aspiring young chef, in the art of cooking. At first Colette is annoyed by this but eventually forms a close working relationship with Linguini and Remy, a rat with a highly developed sense of taste and smell.

After a few misadventures,they ultimately open a restaurant of their own with a rat-friendly kitchen. The name of the restaurant? La Ratatouille.

The movie is based on a character in the book "The Adventures of Pinocchio" written by Carlo Collodi, the pen name of Carlo Lorenzini. Pinocchio is brought to life by a visit from the Blue Fairy. She makes him a promise that if he can prove himself to be brave, honest, and unselfish, he can become a real boy. After experiencing some adventures, Pinocchio does indeed prove himself worthy.

In the movie, Snow White is forced to work as a scullery maid by her evil stepmother, the Queen, who longs to be the "fairest of them all." Snow White eats a poisoned apple provided by her stepmother and falls into a deep sleep. Everyone thinks she is dead. Captivated by her exquisite beauty, a prince visits her coffin, kisses her, and Snow White awakens.

The spell has been broken. As fairy tales go, Snow White and her prince live happily ever after.

When Shere Khan comes after him, Mowgli manages to outsmart the tiger by tying a burning tree branch to his tail in order to distract him so he can get away safely. Mowgli ultimately ends up in the Man-Village where he can safely live.

Actress Pat Carroll was the voice of Ursula in the 1989 film "The Little Mermaid." The movie is based on a fairytale of the same name written in 1836 by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. Ursula, by the way, is an example of a cecaelia, a mythical hybrid creature with the upper body of a woman and the lower body of an octopus.
