Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. I realized at Max Shreck's masked ball that Selina Kyle was Catwoman. Who played me?

Answer: Michael Keaton

Keaton, born on September 5th, 1951 in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, reprised his role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. Bruce Wayne sat alone in his mansion in his first scene and noticed the Bat signal, which meant the police were summoning his assistance. Bruce went there as Batman and fought off several people from a clown gang. Bruce befriended Max Shreck's administrative assistant, Selina Kyle, and they spent an evening together. One night, Bruce was out fighting crime as Batman and fought with Catwoman. They both spoke about mistletoe's effects, such as mistletoe could be deadly if you eat it but Catwoman also said a kiss was even deadlier if you meant it.

When Selina danced with Bruce at Max Shreck's masked ball, she looked up and saw mistletoe so she repeated the same line about mistletoe as she did the other night. Bruce then realized she was Catwoman and Selina began to cry. Batman managed to thwart the Penguin's plot to take over the city and then watched the Penguin die in his underground lair.

In Bruce's final scene, he wished Alfred a Merry Christmas. Keaton also had roles in the movies "Multiplicity", "Herbie Fully Loaded" and "Jackie Brown".
2. I destroyed my apartment after being shoved out of a high rise building. Who played me?

Answer: Michelle Pfeiffer

Pfeiffer, a native of Santa Ana, California, played Selina Kyle/Catwoman. Selina worked as Max Shreck's administrative assistant and realized he had plans to take over Gotham City's power supply. To prevent her from doing anything about it, Max shoved her out of a window, supposedly to her death.

However, some nearby cats revived Selina and she went back to her apartment. In a fit of rage, she destroyed nearly everything in it and then put together her Catwoman costume. Near the end of the movie, Catwoman attacked Max Shreck and then eventually killed him.

The final scene of the movie showed the Bat signal lighting up in the sky while Catwoman looked on from the ground below. Pfeiffer starred in the films "I Am Sam", "Dangerous Minds" and "Wolf".

In 1990, she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for "The Fabulous Baker Boys" but lost to Jessica Tandy for "Driving Miss Daisy". Other Oscar nominees for Best Actress in a Leading Role that year were Isabella Adjani for "Camille Claudel", Pauline Collins for "Shirley Valentine" and Jessica Lange for "Music Box".
3. I ran for Mayor of Gotham City but my deception was exposed to many residents of the city at a public gathering. Who played me?

Answer: Danny DeVito

DeVito, born in 1944 in Asbury Park, New Jersey, landed the role of Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin. There was one scene in which one of The Penguin's goons took the Mayor's baby into the sewer and The Penguin came out of the sewer with the baby, making it seem like he rescued the baby. Shortly after this, The Penguin launched a campaign to run for Gotham City Mayor.

In one scene, his goons put a device in the Batmobile that allowed The Penguin to control the vehicle even from far away. Batman was in the car when this happened and The Penguin started to insult the people of Gotham City. Batman took out a CD to record The Penguin doing this. During a public event regarding his run for Mayor, Bruce Wayne played the CD for all of the spectators to hear.

This led to many people booing The Penguin so he ran off and escaped to his underground lair. In The Penguin's final scene, he attempted to shoot Batman with one of his umbrellas but the umbrella he picked out was harmless. He fell dead to the floor due to serious injuries he sustained before and many penguins walked out to carry his body into the water. DeVito guest starred on the TV series "Karen Sisco", "Friends" and "Pearl".
4. With my husband, I tossed my physically defective newborn baby into the sewer. Who played me?

Answer: Diane Salinger

Salinger had the minor role as The Penguin's mother, Mrs. Cobblepot. Mr. and Mrs. Cobblepot welcomed their newborn son into the world but were distressed to learn that he was born defective. The two decided they did not want to keep the baby so they had a plan. On one Christmas Eve, they went to a nearby sewer and tossed their baby, who was inside his crib, into the sewer. Midway through the movie, The Penguin visited his parents' gravestones and then commented to the press that he forgave them. Salinger guest starred on the TV shows "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Charmed".
5. I was a ruthless businessman who employed Selina Kyle as my administrative assistant. Who played me?

Answer: Christopher Walken

Walken, born on March 31st, 1943 in Queens, New York, was cast as Max Shreck. In Max's first scene, he went before a large gathering of people in Gotham City and gave many of them Christmas presents. He ran a major business empire in Gotham City and had a plan to control the city's entire energy supply. Later on at his masked ball, Max noticed that Bruce Wayne went there without a costume so he jokingly commented to him on how nice he looked.

When The Penguin crashed the party, he took Max down with him to the sewer and imprisoned him in a cage with plans to eventually kill him. Max managed to get out of the cage but was caught by Catwoman.

When Max realized that Catwoman was Selina Kyle, he told her she was fired. Walken had roles in the films "Man on Fire", "Pulp Fiction" and "Catch Me If You Can".

In 1979, he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for "The Deer Hunter". Other Oscar nominees for Best Supporting Actor that year were Bruce Dern for "Coming Home", Richard Farnsworth for "Comes a Horseman", John Hurt for "Midnight Express" and Jack Warden for "Heaven Can Wait".
6. The Penguin framed Batman for my death. Who played me?

Answer: Cristi Conaway

Conaway, a native of Lubbock, Texas, landed the small role of the Ice Princess. The Penguin went to see her one day and told her to smile for the camera, then he attacked her. Batman found the Ice Princess tied up in a discrete location and freed her but then Catwoman came along and attacked Batman. Catwoman took the Ice Princess with her up the stairs and it was when Batman got to the top of the building that he saw the Ice Princess alone on the ledge.

She informed him that Catwoman let her go since she reasoned with her. Batman told her to not move so then The Penguin came along and hurled his umbrella.

The umbrella hit the ground and a bunch of bats swooped out, frightening the Ice Princess. The Ice Princess lost her balance and fell to her death during a Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

While she fell, many spectators noticed bats above at the spot where the ice princess lost her balance and therefore believed Batman pushed the Ice Princess to her death. Conaway guest starred on the TV series "Profiler", "Tales From the Crypt" and "The Single Guy".
7. The Penguin wanted me to go down to his sewer but my dad successfully persuaded him to take him instead. Who played me?

Answer: Andrew Bryniarski

Bryniarski, born in 1969 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, played Chip Shreck in a minor role. Chip was first seen when he went to visit his father at his place of business one day. Chip also met Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle on that occasion as well. In Chip's final scene, he was at his father's masked ball and was shocked when The Penguin crashed it.

The Penguin dragged Chip to come down to the sewer to die but Max managed to get The Penguin to take him in place of his son. Bryniarski portrayed characters in the movies "Any Given Sunday", "Seven Mummies" and "Pearl Harbor".
8. The Penguin criticized the way I ran Gotham City. Who played me?

Answer: Michael Murphy

Murphy played the Gotham City Mayor. The Mayor was seen giving a press conference the day after the clown gang attacked the city and said the violence had to come to an end. He informed the citizens of Gotham City that the previous night's incident would not happen again and then someone came out and grabbed his newborn son.

The person took the baby down into the sewer in order to stage a kidnapping to make The Penguin look good (for more, see the Interesting Info section to question three). The Mayor was there to hear The Penguin state of his desire to locate his mother and father.

The Mayor was then seen at Max Shreck's masked ball when he asked The Penguin what he wanted and that was when The Penguin told all the guests their children were in the process of being kidnapped. Murphy guest starred on the TV shows "Being Erica", "Living in Your Car" and "This is Wonderland".
9. Batman attacked me when I attempted to kidnap many children. Who played me?

Answer: Vincent Shiavelli

Shiavelli, born on November 11th, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York, was cast as the Organ Grinder. The Organ Grinder worked for The Penguin and agreed to help The Penguin kidnap the children of Gotham City as revenge against their not supporting his candidacy for Mayor.

The Organ Grinder drove a stretch vehicle to kidnap the children and then turned around to see if all the kids were loaded in the vehicle. When the Organ Grinder turned around, he noticed a shadow and then was attacked by Batman. The Organ Grinder was constantly seen throughout the movie with his pet monkey by his side. Shiavelli starred in the movies "Tomorrow Never Dies", "Man on the Moon" and "Inferno".
10. I did not appreciate Alfred telling me that my job involved selling "rubbish". Who played me?

Answer: Sean Whalen

Whalen, a native of Washington, D.C., landed the small role of the paperboy. The paperboy was seen in the first scene which took place in present day Gotham City in which he sold newspapers on a street corner. The particular issue of the newspaper he was selling featured a story on whether there was a man born as a penguin living in the sewers of the city.

When he asked Alfred if he wanted a copy and told him about the story, Alfred said he did not like the fact the paperboy was selling "rubbish".

The paperboy did not like that criticism but continued asking other residents if they wanted to purchase a newspaper. Whalen guest starred on the TV series "Lost", "Cold Case" and "My Wife and Kids".
