Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. I worked as a reporter and got promoted to being a columnist. Who played me?

Answer: Owen Wilson

Wilson, born on November 18th, 1968 in Dallas, Texas, was cast as John Grogan. John was married to his longtime sweetheart, Jenny, and they worked at competing newspapers. John was a reporter but his boss gave him a promotion to being a columnist. John did not think he would like the columnist position at first but he ended up having a lot of fun with his columns.

When John first took Marley home, he made Marley sleep in the garage but then took Marley into his room since Marley whined too much. At the end of the movie, John was with Marley right before he was euthanized and told him to not believe him for all the times he said he was the world's worst dog. Wilson was in the films "The Cable Guy", "Armageddon" and "Shanghai Noon".
2. When Marley was put down, I put my necklace in his grave. Who played me?

Answer: Jennifer Aniston

Aniston, a native of Sherman Oaks, California, landed the part of Jenny Grogan. When Jenny first saw Marley, she fell in love with him but she did not know what name to give him. She decided at first to just call him "Clearance Puppy" since he was the cheapest dog of all the puppies they saw at a breeder's house.

When Jenny was first pregnant, she went to get a sonogram but there was no heartbeat and she miscarried. At one point in the movie, Jenny was getting very cranky and it was suggested she had post partum depression.

When John took Marley to the vet for the last time to have him put to sleep, Jenny was seen crying. Aniston guest starred on the TV series "30 Rock" and "Quantum Leap". She is best known for portraying Rachel Green on the comedy series "Friends".
3. I was John's co-worker and watched over Marley for a couple of days. Who played me?

When John and Jenny had problems with Marley, John asked Sebastian if he could watch Marley. Sebastian said he would but that it would only be for a couple of days. Sebastian informed John he was relocating to New York City since he got a job with "The New York Times".

When John was in Philadelphia one day, he ran into Sebastian and they had a nice reunion. Dane had parts in the movies "X-Men: The Last Stand", "Feast", and "The Basket".

She told John that Marley's stomach turned and that she managed to get it unturned but that it would likely happen again. Dr. Platt informed John of all his options, like surgery, but also said that Marley may not survive surgery due to age. Near the end of the movie, Dr. Platt gave John the dire news that Marley's health had really deteriorated and that she could not get his stomach unturned again. John told Dr. Platt it was time to put Marley to sleep and Dr. Platt assured John that Marley would not feel any pain while being put down. She told both John and Jenny that Marley could only have one master at the training and Jenny decided she would be Marley's master.

When Ms. Kornblut told all the dogs to sit, Marley leaped on Jenny's chest and started playing on the ground. Ms. Kornblut told all the dog owners in the class that Marley was an example of an alpha male dog that could never be happy.

When Marley ran off, Ms. Kornblut blew her whistle and Marley ran towards her and knocked her down. Ms. Kornblut told John and Jenny to not bring Marley back to her obedience school. Turner had guest starring stints on the TV series "Nip/Tuck", "Friends" and "Law and Order".
