Ford, born on July 13th, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, was cast as Dr. Richard Kimble. Dr. Kimble came home one night to discover that someone had broken into his house and killed his wife, Helen. However, he was charged with her murder and later convicted.

While en route to the prison, the bus Dr. Kimble was on crashed and Dr. Kimble escaped. Dr. Kimble underwent a lot while on the run, such as making a long jump into water, running through a St. Patrick's Day parade and more. Near the end of the movie, it was revealed that two men named Dr. Nichols and Sykes teamed up to go after Dr. Kimble after Dr. Kimble recognized they fabricated the results of a drug study. The one armed man threw her across her bedroom and then eventually shot her dead. In subsequent scenes, flashbacks showed that Helen dialed 911 and said that someone was trying to kill her.

She then mentioned Richard's name and this led to Richard being the primary suspect in her murder. Richard was seen fighting off the one armed man when he got home after Helen was murdered and then grieving over his loss.

In a flashback scene, Helen attended a medical function with her husband. Ward guest starred on the TV series "Frasier", "Christine Cromwell" and "L.A. Law".
3. Dr. Nichols nearly shot me at the end of the film but, thanks to Dr. Kimble, I was not harmed. Who played me?

Answer: Tommy Lee Jones

Jones, born in 1946 in San Saba, Texas, portrayed Sam Gerard. Sam was a Deputy with the U.S. Marshals and led the team which tracked down Dr. Kimble. Another agent, Cosmo Renfro, looked at the papers Agent Poole had and saw that Richard Kimble was a vascular surgeon so he asked what a vascular surgeon did. Agent Poole responded that vascular surgeons simply made a lot more money than he did. Agent Poole remarked that Dr. Kimble had a lot of friends, most of whom were doctors and hospital staffers.

Charles and Sykes realized the drug they wanted to market had many problems with it and certain samples from the drug study indicated this.

They switched those samples with clean ones to make it seem as if there was nothing wrong with the drug.
