Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Use enough dynamite there, Butch?"

Answer: Robert Redford

While robbing a train in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" (1969), Butch (Paul Newman) put too much dynamite by the safe in one of the railroad cars. It blew the safe, and blew up the car, knocking everyone flat. The Kid (Robert Redford) wasn't overly impressed.
2. "I can see you right now in the kitchen, bending over a hot stove, but I can't see the stove."

Answer: Groucho Marx

In "Duck Soup" (1933), Rufus T. Firefly (Groucho Marx) is appointed leader of the country of Freedonia at the behest of Mrs. Teasdale (Margaret Dumont). Groucho perhaps tries to play up to Mrs. Teasdale, but his idea of flattery may strike some as curious!
3. "Listen here, Andrew Hardy, my mother just bought me an evening dress that simply has no visible means of support!"

Answer: Judy Garland

1941's "Life Begins for Andy Hardy" paired Judy Garland as Betsy Booth and Mickie Rooney as Andy Hardy. As they graduate from high school and prepare to enter the world, Andy, at one point, calls Betsy a child. This was her angry retort.
4. "I love Italian. And so do you."

Answer: William Shatner

In "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home" (1986), Captain Kirk (William Shatner) and Spock (Leonard Nimoy) are thrown out of California's Cetatean Institute after Spock was seen swimming in a whale tank. Dr. Gillian Taylor (Catherine Hicks), the assistant director of the Institute, later offers them a ride and they decide to talk things over, over a meal. Kirk tells Spock what kind of meal the three should have.
5. "I'm walkin' here! I'm walkin' here!"

Answer: Dustin Hoffman

"Ratzo" Rizzo (Dustin Hoffman) is a native New Yorker in "Midnight Cowboy" (1969). Limping around the city, he is almost hit by a car going through an intersection. He pounds on the car's hood and angrily shouts at the driver.
6. "Wax on, wax off."

Answer: Pat Morita

In "The Karate Kid" (1984), high school student Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) wants to learn self-defense and Kesuke Miyagi (Pat Morita) agrees to teach him. One of the first lessons is how to counter agressive moves, which Miyagi teaches Daniel by having him wax Miyagi's car in a certain way - one hand moving clockwise and the other counter-clockwise. Daniel doesn't understand until he enters a martial arts tournament.
7. "It's me, you old poop!"

Answer: Katharine Hepburn

Katharine Hepburn and Henry Fonda were Ethel and Norman Thayer, an aging couple in 1981's "On Golden Pond". Spending the summer at their camp on Golden Pond, Ethel knocks on the front door to get in; Henry has forgotten she went outside and calls to her that someone is at the door. She responded thusly.
8. "It's not a tumor."

Answer: Arnold Schwarzenegger

Posing as a kindergarten teacher in order to find a drug dealer's wife, Schwarzenegger has a hard time dealing with the students in "Kindergarten Cop" (1990). During one session that had him rubbing his temples, one child suggested he might have a serious medical problem.
9. "You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause."

Answer: Chico Marx

Asked to sign a contract in "A Night at the Opera" (1935), Fiorello (Chico Marx) asked Otis B. Driftwood (Groucho Marx) about the terms. Told that there was a standard sanity clause, Fiorello responded with a classic Marx Brothers play on words.
10. "Rick, Rick, you've got to help me!"

Answer: Peter Lorre

In "Casablanca" (1942), Peter Lorre played Signor Ugarte, a small-time crook who was ready to make a big-money score and get out of Casablanca before the Nazis took over. His plan was discovered and he came terrified to Rick Blaine's (Humphrey Bogart) nightclub asking to be hidden from the police.
