Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which one of these films is NOT a real horror film?

Answer: Bloodbath of the Bunny (1978)

'Bloodbath of the Bunny' is the made up choice here. 'Kottentail', 'Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill!', and 'Bunnyman' are all real horror films. The title choice for 'Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill!' is an obvious homage to the 1965 cult classic by Russ Meyer titled, 'Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!' It is about a little boy who is treated in a cruel way by his babysitters, only to have a killer in a bunny suit exact revenge on the tormenters. 'Kottentail' is about an animal rights activist who is transformed into a killer half rabbit, half man mutant after being bit by a genetically engineered bunny. 'Bunnyman' is about a demented maniac in a bunny suit who kills victims with a chainsaw.
2. One of these films is an impostor with a fake release date. Which one?

Answer: Mortuary Massacre Meets the Central High Slasher (1981)

'Nail Gun Massacre', Meatcleaver Massacre', and 'Microwave Massacre' are all real films, surprisingly enough. One of the taglines for 'Microwave Massacre' is "The worst horror movie of all time." It is about a twisted killer who cooks his victims in a microwave before chowing down. Christopher Lee is the on-screen narrator for 'Meatcleaver Massacre', which is about a man who calls upon occult powers to help him get revenge on four killers who murdered his family. 'Nail Gun Massacre' is pretty self explanatory - a maniac kills victims with a nail gun.
3. Pick the fake title with the phony year in which it was supposed to be released.

Answer: The Haunting of Anna Myers (2002)

'The Haunting of Anna Myers' is something I completely made up! 'The Night Brings Charlie', 'Rawhead Rex', and 'Colin' are all real films. 'Colin' is a film that shows the viewer how the world is seen through the eyes of a zombie named Colin. 'Rawhead Rex' is about a killer beast from Ireland who goes on a deadly rampage. 'The Night Brings Charlie' is about a killer named Charlie who goes on a killing spree in a small town.
4. Choose the made up horror film title.

Answer: Mega Piranha vs. The Big Barracuda (2010)

'The Nostril Picker', 'Freeway Maniac', and 'Blood Frenzy' are all very rare slasher films. While there are several horror films about piranhas, a 2010 movie titled 'Mega Piranha vs. The Big Barracuda' is not one of them. 'The Nostril Picker' is about a guy named Joe who can transform himself into anyone he wants to.

After doing so, he is able to easily stalk and murder his victims. 'Freeway Maniac' is about a murderer who kills the cast and crew members of a sci-fi movie that is being filmed. 'Blood Frenzy' is a slasher flick about a maniac stalking teens in a desert.
5. Three of the titles are real and came out in the year that is given for each. One is NOT... I totally made it up! Which one is it?

Answer: Silent Night, He's Coming Tonight (1971)

'Silent Night, Zombie Night' is a zombie flick that stars Felissa Rose, who is famous among horror fans as killer Angela in the classic horror slasher, 'Sleepaway Camp'. 'Silent Night, Deadly Night' is a horror cult classic that was banned due to its controversy after the film's release.

It is about a maniac in a Santa suit who goes on a killing spree after witnessing something very traumatic as a child. Patrick O'Neal and John Carradine star in the classic film 'Silent Night, Bloody Night', which is about an escaped killer in a haunted mental institution.
6. Choose the phony horror film.

Answer: The Killer's Eyes of Evil (1968)

'The Killer's Eyes of Evil' is the faux film title among these choices. 'Evils of the Night' is a "so bad, it's good" type of horror gem. It is a mixture of slasher and sci-fi. John Carradine, Julie Newmar, Tina Louise, Aldo Ray and Neville Brand all star in this forgotten film. 'Evil's City' and 'The Eves' are also real horror films. 'Evil's City' is about two journalists who go to a mysterious forgotten town whose residents have all died, and people who visit seem to disappear as well.

In the movie 'The Eves', a group of students are attacked by an invisible force after their car breaks down while on the way to the coast for spring break.
7. Guess the one that is NOT a real horror movie.

Answer: Oh No! Zombies! (2009)

'Oh No! Zombies' is the made up title. The other three may sound like I made them up, but I didn't... they're definitely real! 'Oh! My Zombie Mermaid' is a Japanese horror/comedy that stars real life wrestler Shinya Hashimoto. A murderous lunatic just won't stay dead in the film 'Living A Zombie Dream'. 'Zombie Dearest' is an interesting film about a man named Gus who accidentally digs up a zombie in his backyard.

After doing so, he manages to get the zombie to do anything he asks. Of course, this whole scenario isn't as great as it sounds!
8. Pick the "phony baloney" title.

Answer: Please Don't Let Me Die (1990)

The 2010 film 'A Horrible Way to Die' is about a woman named Sarah who is being stalked by her ex-boyfriend who is obsessed with her. 'A Lonely Place to Die' is about five friends who rescue a little girl who is trapped by a kidnapper. While trying to bring her to safety, they wind up becoming the next targets of her kidnapper. 'It's My Party and I'll Die If I Want To' is about a girl whose friends throw an 18th birthday bash for her in a haunted Manor, and one by one wind up getting killed off. No film was ever released in the year 1990 with the title 'Please Don't Let Me Die'.
9. Which one is the faux film title?

Answer: I Spit Blood on Your Ashes (2006)

'I Spit on Your Grave' is a 1978 cult classic horror film about a woman who gets revenge on the men who attack and assault her. This film wound up spawning a 2010 re-make. It also spawned a horror/comedy spoof called 'I Spit Chew on Your Grave'. 'I Spit on Your Corpse' has a somewhat similar plot to 'I Spit on Your Grave'.
10. See if you can figure out which one of these choices is NOT real.

Answer: Revenge of the Rat People (1969)

The 1972 film 'The Rats Are Coming! The Werewolves Are Here!' is, in my opinion, one of the funniest titles for a movie! It is about a woman who goes back home to her family with her fiance and tries to stop a werewolf curse that is plagued on her family. Actor Dean Stockwell plays a reporter who is bitten by a werewolf, then goes on a rampage in Washington, D.C. in the 1973 film called, 'Werewolf of Washington'. 'Mexican Werewolf in Texas' is a B horror film released in 2005.
