This tagline fit well for the movie because New York City was put under siege by the ancient Sumerian God called Gozer the Gozerian, and the Ghostbusters were sent to capture him and save the world (well, New York City, at least).

This movie starred Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver.

Josie Geller was the youngest copy editor for the Chicago "Sun-Times". The owner of the paper wanted her to go undercover at a high school as a student and write an article about what high school students were doing. This also gave her the chance to redeem her years in high school, where she did not have many friends and had the nickname Josie Grossie.

This movie starred Drew Barrymore, Michael Vartan, David Arquette, Molly Shannon and Jessica Alba.

This movie was based on the real-life relationship between Chicago Bears teammates Brian Piccolo and Gale Sayers. Pic (which was Brian's nickname) developed cancer and was hospitalized. This brought him and Sayers closer then they had been. Pic lost the battle and passed on.

Luke Skywalker, a farm boy who was raised by his uncle, met new allies, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Ben Kenobi, C-3PO, R2-D2. Their goal was to rescue a rebel leader, Princess Leia Organa, who was held captive by the evil empire. "Star Wars" was a modern good guys wear white (Luke), bad guys wear black (Darth Vader) type movie.

Released in 1976, "Silver Streak" was a comedy which starred Gene Wilder, Richard Pryor and Jill Clayburgh. This was the first collaboration between Pryor and Wilder.

"Up in Smoke" was the comic duo of Cheech and Chong in their first movie. They met by chance on a California highway. They were deported to Mexico and were desperate to get back to the United States. They agreed to drive a van back across the border, and did not know that the van was made of marijuana. During the movie, they avoided the police, whom they did not know were following them.

This tag line fit well for the movie because Pedro, who was played by Cheech Marin, and Anthony, who was played by Tommy Chong, were wiped out early in the movie, not in the usual sense, but they were wiped out on drugs.

Central High was run by a clique of tough guys who bullied the other students. The new kid on campus orchestrated a plan that caused the attrition of the tough guy's clique.

"The Emerald Forest" was based on a true story. Bill Markham returned to Brazil every year to search for his son. When he found him, he was already a teen and lived the life of the local tribe. This movie starred Powers Boothe and Meg Foster.
