The Rev and Synyster Gates had a side project called Pinkly Smooth.

Under the name of "Rathead", the Rev was the vocalist, Gates played guitar, Buck Silverspur under the name of "El Diablo" played bass, Derek Eglit "Super Loop" on drums along with former Avenged Sevenfold bassist Justin Sane on keyboard. They released one album called "Unfortunate Snort". The band dissolved in 2002.
