1. Blakkheim's solo project, that created "Nightwork", was called what?

Answer: Diabolical Masquerade

Blakkheim has unfortunately disbanded this solo project. Dan Swano featured on a lot of Diabolical Masquerade's brand of Progressive Black Metal.

2. Who, in 1997, released "Blutsabbath"?

Answer: Belphegor

No prizes for guessing what the album title means! It was released on Belphegor's own label 'Phallelujah'.

3. Which Norwegian band released "The Shadowthrone"?

Answer: Satyricon

A classic Satyricon album (many people believe the band has strayed too far from its roots with albums like "Rebel Extravaganza" and "Volcano"). One of the most important post '92 black metal albums.

4. Who recorded "Voimasta Ja Kunniasta"?

Answer: Moonsorrow

While 'technically' not black metal, I thought Moonsorrow deserved to be featured in here. The album title means something like "For Strength And Honour"

Some Moonsorrow members also feature in Finntroll.

5. Who brought out the CD "Blackdoor Miracle"?

Answer: Ragnarok

The title track to this album is one of the greatest Black Metal songs I've heard. The vocals on this album come courtesy of 'Taake' member H�st.

Wyrd and Xasthur were due to do a split of some sort in 2005, but it was cancelled from Xasthur's end. Wyrd has released the tracks that were due to be on that split as a separate EP.

Everything Enslaved have ever released is actually rather brilliant. The first four albums were Black Metal, but the band then proceeded onto Prgressive Black Metal, releasing albums such as "RUUN", "Maraudrum" and "Isa".

Answer: Hermh

Nergal from Behemoth played bass on one of Hermh's earliest demos.

Bal-Sagoth are a very inventive and original epic BM band - one who you either love, or can't stand. I personally love them!
