"Time Has Come Today" was released by The Chambers Brothers in 1968 and spent five weeks at number 11 on the Billboard Top 100 charts. The song was said to be ahead of its time in the way special effects were used in the recording. The sounds and effects were used to replicate the sounds of war (The Vietnam War at the time).

The song was performed by the group at the original Woodstock Festival in 1969.

"No Time" was released by The Guess Who as their first song during 1970. It followed their 1969 successes of "These Eyes", "Laughing" and "Undun". The song itself reached number five in the U.S., and was the third consecutive number one hit for the group in their native Canada.

Ironically the song itself wasn't a hit until 1969, reaching number three on the Billboard U.S. charts some time after the group broke up. Argent went on to form his own group "Argent" who had a hit with the song "Hold Your Head Up" in 1972.

He also wrote the song "Liar" which became a hit for Three Dog Night.

The group,led by Booker T. Jones, was also comprised of some of the most legendary musicians of the time including bassist Donald "Duck" Dunn, and guitarist Steve Cropper, as well as former members Lewis Steinberg, and Al Jackson Jr. They first hit the charts in 1962 with "Green Onions" which was a Top Five hit that year. "Time Is Tight" was their second biggest hit, reaching number six in the winter of 1969. Cropper and Dunn have both played with many of the great musicians of the 60's and 70's as well as becoming a part of "The Blue Brothers Band" in the original "Blues Brothers" movie which starred Dan Akroyd and John Belushi.
