It was also a Top Ten hit on the Norwegian Singles Chart (number four), the Dutch Singles Chart (number five), and the U.K. Singles Chart (number seven). It ranked as a Top Twenty on three more charts - the Canadian RPM Adult Contemporary (number 13), the Australian Singles Chart (number 17), and the Canadian RPM Top Singles (number 19). It reached number 43 on the US Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks. Rimes' version spent a record-breaking 69 weeks on the US Billboard Hot 100, a record that stood until Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" broke it in 2009.
