There are actually dozens of songs that pay tribute to Hank Williams Senior. This one is one of my favorites. Check out www.song1.com and look up some of the others.

Jessi Colter is the widow of a country legend, Waylon Jennings. Her big hit was "I'm Not Lisa."

Answer: Bob Wills

Bob Wills is not well known among younger country fans, but they have probably heard his music. It has been remade by the likes of Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson. Some of his most popular songs are "Faded Love" and "Stay all Night". He performed with the Texas Playboys, and passed away in 1975. The Texas Playboys still perform.
4. Red Steagall sang about Bob Wills and this type of beer keeping his heart alive.

Answer: Lone Star Beer

Lone Star Beer was brewed in my home town.

This song is in response to his own song, "All My Rowdy Friends (Are Coming Over Tonight). All four of these artists had serious problems with either drugs or alcohol.

Hank Williams Senior died on New Year's Eve, 1953. in the back of a Cadillac on his way to a performance in Canton, Ohio. He was only 29 years old. His daughter Jett Williams was born five days later.

Answer: Jerry Jeff Walker

Luckenbach Texas is actually a real town! It's near my beloved home town of San Antonio, Texas. Willie Nelson used to hold a music festival there every year.

Answer: False

Music runs in the Williams family. Not only is Junior a singer, his son Hank the third is too. Hank Senior's daughter Jett, and granddaughters Hilary and Holly Williams are also professional singers.

Answer: Charlie Daniels and Hank Williams Junior

Hank Senior nicknamed his son Bocephus (which is mentioned in the song) due to his resemblance to a puppet with that name.

Answer: Moe Bandy

Moe Bandy's grandfather once worked on the railroads with country music legend Jimmie Rodgers. Moe said his grandfather told him that Jimmie used to play his guitar all the time. I hope you enjoyed my quiz!
