The Monkees were originally formed for a TV show and went on to become one of the top selling bands of the late 60s.

Davy Jones was the English member of the American group The Monkees. The other members of the band were: Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork.

'Headquarters' was the band's third album and reached number one on the Billboard 200 and number two in the UK charts.

'Last Train to Clarksville' was the first single released by The Monkees and reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 23 in the UK. It is still a staple on most 'oldies' stations around the world.

Pink Floyd were a British band formed in 1965 by four university students; Roger Waters, Nick Mason, Richard Wright and the late, great, Syd Barrett. When Syd Barrett started to become 'unpredictable and erratic' David Gilmour took his place in the band.

Nick Mason is the band's drummer and is the only remaining founder member.

'Dark Side of the Moon' is Pink Floyd's eighth album and has sold an estimated 45 million copies world wide.

'Another Brick in the Wall (part II)' was from Pink Floyd's album 'The Wall' and was their most successful single reaching number one on charts all over the world.
