On the dvd, Steven is visiting his home in Paducah, KY and talking about how even though he's been on tons of magazine covers and television shows, he picks up an edition of "Paducah Life", one magazine he is yet to grace the cover of, and he knows he will have truly made it in the big time once he has.

This horrible thing has preceded an outpouring of condolences to the Chapman family website from thousands all over the world. Maria Sue had turned five years old as of 10 days before her passing away. Our prayers are still with you, Steven, Mary Beth, Emily, Caleb, Will, Shaoey, Stevey Joy.

This was greatly advertised throughout the tour on Chapman's website, that during the performance of song "Children Of God", fans who brought posters and signs with "We Are" written on them got to run on stage and sing it with Steven. I was one of those people.

The music video to "Let us Pray" is actually shot from live concert footage gathered on the "Signs of Life" tour in 1997. "God is God" also has a music video, but it is not widely known about. It was shot with footage added in from the movie, "End of the Spear", and most of the shots of Steven are of him on a little jungle sandbar with a guitar. "Lord of the Dance" was shot in L.A., though it was green-screened to look like New York.

Steven called an emergency session with "This Moment" album producer and recorded this verse into the song "Yours". The new edition of the song has recieved standing ovations during live performances. During concerts only (not as a new rercording) Steven has also changed the lyric of "Cinderella". Instead of "She'll be gone" at the end of the chorus, he sings "the dance will go on".

Answer: The Imperials

Sandi Patty did record one of Chapman's early songs called "Love will Be Our Home", and Bill Gaither used to encourage Chapman about songwriting during his college days. But the Imperials recorded this particular song.

Also information found in the SCC blogs, a picture can be found that was taken by one of his assistants for the fan community. It is a beautiful plaque right above the door post, and it really says it all. Think, the entire ministry, all the concerts, the love songs, the Godly family, "all because two people fell in love".

Steven was really rocked by the sudden separation of his parents, who were Godly people and strong in their relationship. Steven asked himself, "what's to keep that from happening to us?" when he thought about he and his wife. Compelled to reassure his wife that he was in this for the long haul, he wrote "I Will Be Here", which God has blessed tremendously.

This is one of, if not the, most popular and widely-known songs of Chapman's career.

Answer: Signs Of Life

This lyric is taken from "Children of the Burning Heart" on the album "Signs Of Life". It's a favorite still done in recent concerts despite it being one of his "older" songs.

Answer: Taylor

Rumor has is that Steven travels with over 20 guitars, most of the acoustic ones are Taylors, with the exception of about two or three McPherson guitars. He does use Fenders a lot, but only their electric guitars, Telecasters to be specific.

Answer: Cinderella

This story is the highlight of the 2007-2008 tour, "Live in This Moment". Steven sits down on a stool and shares the moving story about how his two youngest adopted daughters kept jumping out of the tub when he'd turn around to get the shampoo, and come running back in their princess gowns.

He got really frustrated with them because he had a big meeting coming up with his record company and needed to get back to songwriting; he rushed through that moment and then remembered his grown 22 year-old daughter, Emily. "These moments don't last, and I don't want to rush through them." So he wrote "Cinderella" as a reminder to savor every moment before the clock strikes midnight and his girls are gone.

Heath High School was struck with a deadly tragedy around the year 1998-1999. An enraged shooter rampaged through the halls, causing the heartbeat of the community to come to a standstill. This inspired the song, "With Hope" which Steven sang at his hometown briefly after the massacre.
Michael W. Smith's song, "This Is Your Time" was also rooted from a school shooting in Columbine, Colorado.

Answer: The baseball field

This is a statement again from "The Walk" dvd, where Steven shows us around his hometown. He walked down to the field where he used to play little league, and he says "I think it was here that I first sensed a calling into music, 'cause I realized I had no future in baseball!"

Answer: Golden Gate Bridge

Of course all of this is green-screened...Steven is not a stunt man. It is made to appear that Chapman dives off the Golden Gate Bridge in San Fransisco during the instrumental interlude of "Dive". Most of the video was shot in a school swimming pool in Nashville; they put a black tarp on the bottom to make it appear that Steven was in a river.

Brown Bannister is actually the guy who produced some of Steven's records, the first record they worked together on being "Signs Of Life", which Brown gave Steven the freedom to really record music with "the McCracken County sound". Johnny and Justin are Steven's guitarists from present and past.

"At first, Steven and MaryBeth resisted the idea of adoption and even laughed at it, but then they began to play a game they called the "What if" game. They would ask themselves, "Well, what if we did adopt?" When they thought of adoption, they had always pictured an Asian girl, and one day, during a "What if" session, they laughed together saying, "We have to look up the Chinese character for laughter because the fact that we are even considering adoption is hilarious."

Shortly after this discussion, Steven was flipping through a stack of Reader's Digest magazines and opened one and randomly turned to a story about a family from China. "Interesting," he thought, considering their previous conversation. But then he noted the caption beneath the article's picture, "The little boy's name is Shaohan (Shao in Chinese means laughter)." He showed it to Mary Beth. She dropped the magazine.

Steven was so proud of his grandmother, smiling ear to ear watching the woman play like a pro. He said it's probably a bit like home video to us, but to him it's priceless stuff.

Although Caleb co-wrote "See the Glory" with Steven, they did not record it together. The Chapman boys were actually asked to be a part of a recording for a Veggie Tales album by various artists. So, they chose "I Love My Lips", and did a really creative arrangment of it.

This is from the song "11/6/64" which tells Mary Beth how special Steven's life became on the day she was born. He played this for one of the first times in front of an audience at a conference called "Rekindling the Romance", and of course all the women were melted into puddles, and the husbands were like "yeah thanks Steve, just hand us the crappy husband award now." Hey, it takes a special guy to write songs like this for his sweetheart!

Steven talks about his wife and kids during this segment of the show. Talking about his two sons, Will and Caleb, who were like 3 and 5 years old at the time, Steven tells the audience "Pray for Will Franklin. Mary Beth and I would like to see him reach 4, but we're not sure Caleb has the same goal." He had mentioned earlier that Caleb loved to play with his little brother (Will) but sometimes Will didn't always want to play the games Caleb wanted to play; and that sometimes Caleb's idea of playing with Will meant inflicting pain on him.

Answer: The grinch

"It was kinda like in that movie 'the Grinch', not that my wife is at all like the Grinch...just, go with me here!" He used this to explain how his family's heart expanded to take in this orphan and love her like their own. By the way, since the first adoption, the Chapman's have adopted twice more.

Answer: Mary Beth was clinically depressed

"The Live Adventure" was very close to never happening after Mary Beth was clinically diagnosed with depression. Their marriage was in a tough place, and Steven was gone all the time recording and in meetings. They really considered and prayed about not going through with the tour because of the help Mary Beth needed at home, but in the end they knew the tour had to happen. If that particular tour didn't launch, Steven's career would probably not be what it is today.

It really rocketed Steven's fame and popularity throughout the Christian music community.

This song includes the lyrics "There's a song being sung over you, by the one who breathes life into you," which is almost an exact copy of the verse in Zephaniah 3:17
