Elvis passed away in the early hours of the morning at his Graceland home on the 16th August 1977. Some people claim he had been taking prescription drugs because he was slowly dying of bone cancer. However, this has not been confirmed.
2. Excluding the two documentary films, how many movies did Elvis star in?

Answer: 31

Elvis' first film was "Love me Tender" in 1956.
The two documentary films:
"Elvis, That's the Way it is" and "Elvis on Tour" were the two last films.
"Elvis on Tour" being his 33rd film.
3. What year was Elvis drafted into the army?

Answer: 1957

Elvis received a letter from "Uncle Sam" while he was filming his movie "King Creole" in 1957. A 60-day deferment was requested so Elvis could complete filming "King Creole". Elvis was finally inducted into the Army in March 1958.
4. Elvis resided at Graceland, Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee. But what was the number of his home?

Answer: 3764

Elvis purchased Graceland in 1957 from Ruth Brown Moore for $100,000.
This was Elvis' last home, where he resided until his untimely death.

Lisa Marie is the only known child of Elvis. Numerous people who have worked with Elvis have said they have never seen him happier than when Lisa Marie was born.

Answer: 1968

Lisa Marie was born 1st February 1968, exactly nine months after Elvis and Priscilla married. Elvis called Lisa "Buttonhead" and "Yisa".
7. How many times did Elvis marry?

Answer: One

Priscilla Beaulieu married Elvis on May 1st 1967, they divorced in 1973.
Ginger Alden was the last girlfriend of Elvis before he died. She claims that Elvis proposed to her in January 1977 and they were to be married on Christmas Day 1977. Although some doubt that Elvis had even proposed to Ginger.
I guess this is one we will never know for sure.
8. Before Elvis' death, how many UK number one singles had he achieved?

The 17th number one single was "Way Down" and actually only reached number one after Elvis death in 1977. In 2002 a remix of "A Little Less Conversation was released and reached number one in the UK Charts. A further three of Elvis' singles reached number one again, after the re-release of Elvis' UK number one singles in 2005.
9. At what age did Elvis' father Vernon Presley die?

Answer: 63

Vernon Presley was born in Mississippi in 1916. He died in Memphis on 26th June 1979 of heart failure. After the death of his wife Gladys (Elvis' mother)he devoted himself to his son's (Elvis)career.

Beamed live by satellite at 12.30am to over 40 Countries.
Although this was the early hours of the morning, Elvis said this is the time he felt at his best.

Answer: 53310761

It was in the army that Elvis was first given pills to stay awake at night while on guard duty. It is said that this was Elvis' first exposure to drugs, which sadly escalated over the years.
