Behemoth has been associated with seven different record labels as well as a controversy regarding bands which allegedly promote Satanism in Poland.

Godzilla had to change their name due to legal issues, and so they opted for the fictional monster's Japanese name, Gojira. They played alongside Behemoth in 2007.

Inspired by the name for a magic textbook, the intentionally misspelled Grenouer hail from Russia and were formed in 1992.

The Swedish Godgory, also formed in 1992, have since broken up, with a demo and four studio albums under their belt.

Mothra is a giant butterfly/moth hybrid found in the Godzilla film series which occasionally allies with the mutant dinosaur.

Dawn of Tears originated in Spain. "Cadent Beating", "Winds of Despair" and "Mr. Jarrod" are songs from their album entitled "Dark Chamber Litanies".

Hybrid, Avulsed, and Nahemah also hail from Spain.

"Litany" is also Vader's fifth studio album, and the name for a series of prayers spoken by a leader which a congregation then replies to.

In Flames is from Sweden, Descending from Greece, and Psycroptic isn't even from Europe, while Viatrophy and the rest originated in the United Kingdom.

Thankfully, the mourning of Viatrophy can be eased with the celebration of the handful of other bands its members have also been, or gone on to be, a part of!

Solstafir's first gig outside of Iceland, played in Denmark, helped the band secure a deal with Spinefarm Records, a label associated with names like Nightwish, Rammstein, Satyricon, Amorphis, and Demigod.
