Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Can you name the raven haired rocker who fronted the band that's name was taken from a Disney animated movie? Hint: None of this band's members wore glass slippers!

Answer: Tom Keiffer

Tom Keiffer was the lead vocalist for the band Cinderella.
Steven was front man for the hair band Ratt.
Axl of course is GNR's front man.
And C.C. Deville was from Poison...but I threw him in for the Deville affect just to throw you off in case the Disney reference made you think Cruella Deville!
2. See if you can name this Black Sabbath tune - "Finished with my woman cause she couldn't help me with my mind"

Answer: Paranoid

This is, of course, from the song "Paranoid", released in 1970.
3. Who sang this one? "Breakin the chains around you...Nobody else can bind you..Take a good look around you ..Now you're breaking the chains".

Answer: Dokken

Don Dokken sang lead on this tune from album of the same name. "Breaking the Chains" is one of my personal favorites!
4. Can you name the twin brothers who made up the band Nelson?

Answer: Matthew and Gunnar

Matthew and Gunnar are sons of the late Ricky Nelson and the grandsons of Ozzie and Harriet Nelson.
They were listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for having been, at that time, the only family to have three generations make it to the top of the music charts! Ozzie and Harriet, followed by Ricky, and then the brothers Nelson.
5. The band Faster Pussycat released this song about a young boy who was longing for his absent father's affection. Can you name the song?

Answer: House of Pain

Faster Pussycat took their name from a movie released in 1965 of the same name, according to the band's lead singer.
6. Can you finish the title of this Black Sabbath classic? "Faeries Wear___________"

Answer: Boots

Interesting fact: Ronnie James Dio was indeed a member of the band Black Sabbath before going on to other musical ventures.
7. This band had a hit in the early 90s with a song titled "The Lumberjack" which featured "music" from a chainsaw.

Answer: Jackyl

Warning: If you have ever tried to duplicate the song while running your weed eater....you MIGHT be a Jackyl fan!
8. Name the band that recorded this one in 1986. "Honestly I believe in you Do you trust in me Patiently, I will stand beside you, faithfully" Hint: from the album "To Hell With the Devil".

Answer: Stryper

Faith based metal band "Stryper" named themselves as an acronym for "Salvation Through Yielding Peace, Encouragement, and Righteousness".
9. The 80s hair band "Britny Fox" is made up of...?

Answer: All men

With hits like "Long Way to Love" and "Girl's School" these hard rocking men soon dispelled any confusion about them being a girl band. Though, when they hit the scene in LA they were compared to Cinderella. Just to prove imitation is the greatest form of flattery the band "Cinderella" helped them get their first record deal!
10. This band, sometimes compared to Rush, had several charting tunes through out the late 70s and early 80s which included these: "Lay It On the Line", "Magic Power", and "Fight the Good Fight" Can you name this band?

Answer: Triumph

"Triumph" hailed from Canada as did "Rush".
