Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which Buckethead band features Maximum Bob on full-time lead vocals?

Answer: Deli Creeps

Mike Patton is quoted as saying, regarding Deli Creeps, "They're so good they piss me off." El Stew features Brain, DJ Disk, Buckethead, Eddie Def and Extrakd. Cornbugs features Buckethead, Bill "Choptop" Moseley, Travis Dickerson and Pinchface. Frankenstein Brothers features Buckethead and That 1 Guy.
2. During Buckethead's tenure with Guns N' Roses, he played alongside which guitarist?

Answer: Robin Finck

After Buckethead left the band, fans wondered if the parts he recorded would be included on "Chinese Democracy", if it was ever released. It ended up being released November 23, 2008, and Buckethead is heavily featured and receives all the credits he deserves, thankfully.
3. What album has Buckethead supposedly recorded (or begun recording), but never released, only doing so if it is ever 'perfected'?

Answer: Buckethead Plays Disney

On the "Secret Recipe" DVD, a picture is shown of an official Disney CD called "Disneyland Forever" (contains music from the various park attractions) which presumably Buckethead himself has customized to read "Buckethead's Disneyland Forever."
4. Who voiced the Post Office Buddy in the song "Post Office Buddy"?

Answer: Iggy Pop

Though Big B has collaborated with all of those men several times over the years, the Post Office Buddy was voiced by none other than that old Stooge, Iggy Pop. He acts as a sort of stalker in the song.
5. What famous group did Buckethead once try out for?

Answer: Red Hot Chili Peppers

From the Bucketheadland.com FAQ: "One journalist's account reported that the lead singer picked Buckethead up at the airport and found out that Buckethead had not heard any of their tunes. The audition proceeded anyway, and Buckethead played in his inimitable fashion (i.e., robot dance, hyper-metal licks etc...).

When he finished the band applauded raucously. Flea confirmed that they auditioned BH saying that he was "sweet and normal," but they wanted someone "'...who could also kick a groove.'"
6. Which basketball player has Buckethead NOT made a song in tribute to?

Answer: Karl Malone

LeBron James has the songs "LeBron" and "LeBron's Hammer". He also possibly partly inspired the song "The Redeem Team", which was the nickname of the men's 2008 US Olympic basketball team, of which LeBron was a part. There is little doubt that the song "King James" is in tribute to LeBron as well.

Michael Jordan was the inspiration behind "Jumpman" (the nickname of the Nike silhouette logo for the Air Jordan line) and "Jordan".

George Gervin has the song "Iceman - Tribute to George Gervin".

And as awesome as Karl Malone was, Buckethead has not paid audio tribute to him yet.
7. Which now deceased rapper has Buckethead done an audio tribute to?

Answer: ODB

"I Like it Raw" is a tribute to ODB, using the vocal track from "Shimmy Shimmy Ya". It is available at Buckethead's official site. There is also a video of him dancing/posing to another ODB song. He knows all the moves.
8. Which preservation technique has been mentioned in a Buckethead song?

Answer: All three types have been used

Examples include "Taxidemy Tots" ("Bucketheadland 2"), "Plastination Station" ("Inbred Mountain") and "Embalming Plaza" ("Pepper's Ghost"). What a weirdo! :)
9. Which deceased guitarist has Buckethead recorded a tribute song to?

Answer: "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott

The song "Dime" was available for a while at Buckethead's official site. It was later altered somewhat and became the song "The Android of Notre Dame".
10. Buckethead once tried out for which singer's band, but didn't get the gig in part due to his unwillingness to play without his bucket?

Answer: Ozzy Osbourne

From a Revolver Magazine interview with Ozzy: "I tried out that Buckethead guy. I met with him and asked him to work with me but only if he got rid of the bucket. So I came back a bit later and he's wearing this green Martian's-hat thing. I said, 'Look, just be yourself!' He told me his name was Brian, so I said that's what I'd call him.

He says, 'No one calls me Brian except my mother.' So I said, 'Pretend I'm your mum then!' I haven't even got out of the room and I'm already playing mind games with the guy. What happens if one day he's gone and there's a note saying, 'I've been beamed up?' [Laughs] Don't get me wrong, he's a great player."
