OK, how many of you knew Donovan was Scottish? Donovan was born in Maryhill, Glasgow, Scotland, in 1946. The career of Donovan began in 1965, with his first single "Catch the Wind" which reached number four in the UK and peaked at number 23 in the U.S.

The second single was released in the same year titled "Colours", again it stalled at number four in the UK, but only managed to reach 64 in the U.S. It wasn't until the release of "Sunshine Superman" in 1966, that Donovan made progress back into the charts, with a number one in the U.S. and a second placing in the UK, with "Sunshine Superman." "Mellow Yellow" quickly followed with a number two slot in the United States.

The trend continued with releases of "There is a Mountain", "Jennifer Juniper", "The Hurdy Gurdy Man", "Atlantis" and "Barabajagal." In 2007 a DVD was available from his Concert-Live in LA.
