Its single cover for didn't feature any pictures of Per Gessle or Marie Fredriksson, to keep their solo careers unharmed if the single flopped...it obviously didn't. :)
5. Which Roxette song was the first single from the "Look Sharp!" album?

Answer: Dressed for Success

Trick question! "Look Sharp!" had already been released in Sweden (1988) before the US got a hold of it in 1989.
6. Which song was Roxette's first worldwide hit?

Answer: The Look

Interesting story. An American exchange student took a copy of "Look Sharp!" with him to the US and brought it to a local Minneapolis radio station. The DJs fell in love with "The Look", and illegal copies of the song soon spread from one radio station to the other after many requests for the song.

It became #1 on the radio without being released as a single...and during this time, Roxette had no idea it was happening!
7. There are 4 singles from Roxette's "Look Sharp!" album which are the most well-known, but there are in fact 5 in total. What is the name of the "obscured" single?

Answer: Chances

Released in Sweden, 1988, before the worldwide breakthrough. This was the only single from "Look Sharp!" to not be re-released worldwide in 1989-90.
8. The male lead singer, Per Gessle, was in a successful band (in Sweden) before Roxette. Can you tell me their name?

Answer: Gyllene Tider

"Moderna Tider" is in fact the name of a Gyllene Tider album. Peter Pop and the Helicopters was another project by Per Gessle, but was a one-time thing. Pers Garage, however, is Gyllene Tider but without Anders Herrlin as their bass guitarist.
9. What is the name of the Roxette album which lead to the band's first ever world tour?

Answer: Joyride

It was called the "Join the Joyride" world tour, and went from 1991 and into 1992.
10. What movie did the Roxette song "It Must Have Been Love" feature on?

Answer: Pretty Woman

In the film you can hear the song being played when Julia Roberts is in the back of the limo by herself.
11. When was "It Must Have Been Love" ORIGINALLY released by Roxette?

Answer: 1987

Did I fool you at all? In case you're wondering why, it was in fact a Christmas song in 1987! The original title was "It Must Have Been Love (Christmas for the Broken Hearted)". Its "Pretty Woman" version differs from the original as there are a few changes in the music, and "only one word" in the lyrics, "...And it's a hard Christmas day, I dream away.

It must have been love, but it's over now..."
12. There was another single released by Roxette in 1987 (only in Sweden). What was it called?

Answer: I Want You

Note: This is NOT the same song as performed by Savage Garden! Now that sudden outburst is out of the way... This single was a collaboration between 3 Swedish artists - Eva Dahlgren, Ratata, and (of course) Roxette. It was released to help promote their "Rock Runt Riket" tour in 1987.
13. The Roxette album "Tourism" is a live album.

Answer: False

It is a "tour" album, featuring songs recorded on stage, hotelrooms, empty nightclubs, and recording studios worldwide. All during their "Join the Joyride" tour of 1991-92.
14. What was the title for Roxette's first greatest hits album?

Answer: Don't Bore Us - Get to the Chorus!

Released worldwide in 1995, except in the USA. The US greatest hits album didn't arrive until 2000, and even that version was different than the first release.
15. Roxette released an album in Spanish in 1996. What was it called?

Answer: Baladas en Español

A collection of Roxette ballads from 1988 to 1994, in Spanish. However, the translations of the song titles and lyrics are completely different than the originals. This album was not released everywhere, for obvious reasons.
16. Some people consider this album Roxette's "comeback" release...

Answer: Have a Nice Day

Released in 1999. The world, apart from some European regions, hadn't heard from Roxette since their greatest hits in 1995. This was due to solo careers, taking care of families, and such things. "Room Service" is their album released in 2001, while the other two are just made up.
17. What was the name of Roxette's first video (VHS) release?

Answer: Sweden Live

The first ever commercial home video of Roxette, released in Japan only in 1989 when Roxette had their international breakthrough.
18. What was the name of the first Roxette DVD release?

Answer: All the Videos and More! The Complete Collection 1987-2001

Released in 2001. This DVD collection has been updated (in 2003) as "The Ballad & Pop Hits". It's virtually the same, except it includes the videos for the singles "A Thing About You" and "Opportunity Nox".
19. This is often mistaken as a Roxette song.

Answer: Both "Take My Breath Away", and "I Want You"

If you use any form of downloading software, such as KaZaA, type Roxette in your search. I'm sure either one of these songs will be amongst the results. And on that note, my personal advice to the people that share these songs as Roxette - "Do your homework!"
20. And last but not least - Which song from "Joyride" was originally intended to be the fifth Roxette single from the album?

Answer: (Do You Get) Excited?

This song was supposed to be the fifth "Joyride" single, but was replaced by "Church of Your Heart" shortly after the video clip had been filmed. Meaning there are 6 videos from the album, even though 5 of them were singles. For more information on Roxette, you can find tonnes of it at http://roxette.cs.caltech.edu/promotion :)
