Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. On what date was Quo's "In Search of the Fourth Chord" album released in the UK?

Answer: Monday 17th September 2007

Quo have been knocked for years as only being able to play three chords, which of course is not true. So this album title is a little play on that. Rick Parfitt and Francis Rossi have said in interviews that the fourth chord can be found half way though track three!
2. In its first week of release, what chart position did the album reach in the UK album charts?

Answer: 15

Another top twenty album for Quo, this one takes the tally to 28. Only the Rolling Stones ad the Beatles can better Quo's tally of top twenty UK albums!
3. Which song on the album are these lyrics from: "Happy days are here again, it's official from number ten. One moving in, one moving out. All change on the roundabout".

Answer: Beginning of the End

This was the first single released from the album on Monday 10th October 2007. It reached number 27 in the UK singles chart.
4. Did Status Quo release this album on a 12 inch vinyl format?

Answer: Yes

The 12 inch record is back! This is the first official Quo album on vinyl since the "Thirsty Work" album from 1994. Of course the album was also released on CD and could be down loaded.
5. What record label has this album been released on?

Answer: Fourth Chord Records

Status Quo now have their own record label, and this album is the first to be released on it.
6. Who sings lead vocals on the track "Bad News"?

Answer: John Edwards

This is the first time that John "Rhino" Edwards has sung lead vocals on a new studio track of Quo material. The only other time was when he sung lead vocals on a track from the 2003 covers album "Riffs", the J Geils Band track "Centerfold".
7. What track has the longest running time, at 5 minutes 25 seconds?

Answer: Electric Arena

This track is followed on the album by the shortest track "Gravy Train" which is just 3 mins 23 seconds.
8. On the album who wrote the track "You're the One for Me"?

Answer: Matt Letley

It's not often that a drummer writes songs. Not only that, but on the demo he did all of the instruments as well including guitars, bass guitar, of course the drums and the vocals!
9. Who was the producer of the "In Search of the Fourth Chord" album?

Answer: Pip Williams

Pip has produced a lot of Quo's albums over the years, but this is the first one for just over ten years. Other albums include "Rockin' All Over The World", "Whatever you Want", "In the Army Now" and "Don't Stop".
10. The final track on the CD album is different on the UK release compared to the European release. What is the title of the UK only track?

Answer: I Ain't Wasting My Time

The "bonus" track on the European only release was "One by One", which was a track written by Rick Parfitt and Bob Young. It is rumoured that they wrote it 20 years ago!
