The Righteous Brothers, Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield, had originally performed with a group called The Paramours in 1962.

They enjoyed success in the 1960s with hits like "Unchained Melody",
"(You're My) Soul and Inspiration" and "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'".

After several periods of "reinventing" the group, they finally disbanded in 1972, a year after their equipment was destroyed in a fire in Switzerland.
