Music... Just Music Trivia Quiz

This quiz is about my favourite songs and bands; most of them would probably be considered alternative rock, and the bands are most active in the 2000's, so far. I love them all so much words can not express it.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. True or False? All of these bands come from Chicago, Illinois: Fall Out Boy, The Academy Is..., The Audition, Madina Lake, Panic! At the Disco

Answer: False

Panic! At the Disco come from Las Vegas. The Academy Is..., Fall Out Boy, and Panic! At the Disco all record for the record label Decaydance (owned by Pete Wentz - bassist of Fall Out Boy), which is an imprint of the label Fueled By Ramen. The Audition are under Victory Records, and Madina Lake are under Roadrunner Records.
2. Which band has songs entitled 'Car Underwater', 'End Of The World', 'The Truth About Heaven', and 'Williamsburg'?

Answer: Armor For Sleep

The songs 'End Of The World' and 'Williamsburg' are from the album 'Smile For Them'. The songs 'Car Underwater' and 'The Truth About Heaven' are from the album 'What to Do When You Are Dead'. 'End of the World' was featured on the soundtrack of the 2007 movie 'Transformers', even though it didn't actually appear in the film.
3. Which of these brothers in bands are not twins?

Answer: Gerard and Mikey Way

Gerard and Mikey Way, from the American band 'My Chemical Romance', are three years apart, Gerard being the eldest. Bill and Tom Kaulitz are from the German band 'Tokio Hotel'. Benji and Joel Madden are from the American band 'Good Charlotte'. Matthew and Nathan Leone are from the American band 'Madina Lake'.
4. Which of these video clips involves the 'Queen of Hearts' playing card as a particularly important feature?

Answer: "Saturday" (Fall Out Boy)

In this video clip, Pete and Patrick play the same person; Pat plays the good guy, trying to catch the murderer, (who is actually Pete) who is the bad side of the same guy. During the video, they both alternate wearing the jacket, which shows that they are the same person.

It gets a little confusing, but it becomes easier to follow at the end when Pat hurts his hand and Pete can feel the pain in his hand too, and when Pat finds a stash of Queen of Hearts cards in the glovebox of his car. At the end of the clip, the two finally face each other, and Pete kills Pat (who is wearing the jacket) with his fingers in the shape of a gun.

As soon as he goes to check that Pat's dead, he is wearing the jacket instead, finds a Queen of Hearts card in the pocket, and then he dies.

It's rather confusing, but this is personally one of my favourite video clips of all time. 'Saturday' is a single from the album 'Take This to Your Grave'.
5. The song is 'Cellar Door', but which band sing these lyrics? "We walk through the doorway, heard you calling from the hall, to find you in the bedroom, not breathing at all. I dragged your body to the cellar where we lay. The wax it melts away. I kiss your face."

Answer: Escape The Fate

Escape The Fate are from Las Vegas, and are under Epitaph Records. The song 'Cellar Door' is from the album 'Dying is Your Latest Fashion'.
6. Which of these Cobra Starship songs has a home-made video?

Answer: Guilty Pleasure

Cobra Starship are also under the label Decaydance. They are classified as an alternative rock band, but their songs are very dance-like. Supposedly, the video clip was home-made because the band spent the budget that they were given for it on a sports car. 'Guilty Pleasure' is from the album 'Viva la Cobra!', and the other options are all from the album 'While the City Sleeps, We Rule the Streets'.
7. What song is this lyric from? "Love is the red, the rose on your coffin door. What's life like bleeding on the floor?"

Answer: Thank You For The Venom (My Chemical Romance)

'Thank You For The Venom' is from My Chemical Romance's album 'Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge'.
8. Josh Ramsay is the lead singer of which Canadian band?

Answer: Marianas Trench

Marianas Trench have singles called 'Shake Tramp', 'Decided To Break It', and 'Say Anything' from their album 'Fix Me'. Nickelback and Three Days Grace are also from Canada, while Lostprophets are a band from the UK.
9. Bert McCracken, Jeph Howard, Quinn Allman, and Dan Whitesides are all members of which band?

Answer: The Used

Branden Steineckert was the drummer before Dan Whitesides (excluding temporary drummers).
10. According to the TAI TV episodes, what food does Sisky Buisness (Adam T. Siska) wear a costume of?

Answer: A Taco

TAI TV is The Academy Is... podcast. Sisky (also known as Sisky Buisness or Adam T. Siska) is the bassist for the band. He is the youngest in the band; 19 years old in 2007.
