Answer: "We're Not Gonna Take It" - Twisted Sister

The video for this song featured Mark Metcalf, who played Niedermayer in "Animal House". Before the song begins, he barges into his son's room and starts berating him. After he's done yelling, he delivers the question that he made famous by asking in "Animal House"; "What do you wanna do with your life"? Of course the answer is "I wanna rock!"

Answer: "In My Dreams" - Dokken

This song only topped out at number seventy-seven on the "US Billboard Hot 100" in 1985, but was in heavy rotation on MTV at the time. Don Dokken has stated that "In My Dreams" is one of his least favorite songs to sing and that he tries to avoid doing so whenever possible.

Answer: "Home Sweet Home" - Motley Crue

This song was never a hit until its re-release in 1991. The record company refused to put "Home Sweet Home" on the album "Theatre Of Pain" until the band threatened to go seek out another record label. The record label (Elektra) gave in. This song has been credited as starting the power ballad movement for hard rock bands.

Although "Parental Guidance" was never a commercial success for Judas Priest, this song became an anthem for kids along the same lines of "We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister, due to the heavy play on MTV. Rob Halford, lead singer of Judas Priest, has stated that this was one of his favorite songs to perform due to the audience participation.

Although it reached as high as number five on the "US Billboard Top Rock Tracks" in 1984, this song is only ranked number thirty-one in VH-1's "40 Greatest Metal Songs". This song has been covered by numerous artists, but none as bad as the version by Julianne Hough and Tom Cruise for the movie "Rock of Ages". Their version was so awful, it was even mocked on "Saturday Night Live".

Answer: "Welcome To The Jungle" - Guns N' Roses

This song was used in the movie "The Dead Pool" and the band even makes a cameo in the movie. It's also been used in "Lean On Me", "The Program", and in the video game "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock".

Answer: "Shelter Me" - Cinderella

Tipper Gore and the "Washington Wives" started a crusade to censor music and videos that they thought led to the "moral decay of children". Cinderella was one of the bands that was on the front line of this fight and lead singer Tom Keifer even stated that even though they were on opposing sides of this conflict, that he respected what Tipper Gore was trying to do because, in her mind, it was to protect children.

Answer: "Cherry Pie" - Warrant

Although it was a smash hit and received major play on MTV, lead singer Jani Lane hates this song, stating "I could shoot myself in the f****** head for writing that song". He has since stated that he doesn't hate the song, but in more recent interviews, he said that he was admonished by his manager for saying that he doesn't like the song, but the truth is that, according to Lane, he will never sing this song again.

The female lead in the video, Bobbie Brown, married Jani Lani in 1991.

This song peaked at number twelve on the "US Billboard Hot 100" chart in 1988. The opening line to this song, actually happened to Ford. Shortly before her audition for The Runaways, she was beaten up at a party.

This song is a tribute to strip clubs and many of the band's favorite clubs are mentioned in the song. The listening party for "Girls, Girls, Girls" was even held in a strip club. This song reached as high as number twelve on the "US Billboard Hot 100".
