Charles Gates Dawes penned the music as a young man. Words were later added and recorded by Tommy Edwards who hit the top of the charts twice with the song.

Founding keyboard member, and the lone founding member still touring, George Frayne, was Professor of Art at Wisconsin State University - Oshkosh during the early formation of the band.

The Ides still play together. They had a very minor hit with a song called "L.A. Goodbye". Their lead singer and leader, Jim Peterik, spent some time with Chase, the answer to question three. He also penned "Eye of the Tiger".

Answer: Rick Dees and his cast of Idiots

This novelty hit became pretty annoying after awhile. Dees went on to DJ fame, including a stint doing American Top 40.

Answer: Dead Skunk

He portrayed Captain Spaulding, the singing surgeon on three episodes of M*A*S*H. He was twice nominated for a Grammy. His father was managing editor of Life magazine.

"BJ and the Bear" was a TV show about truckers, and "Smokey and the Bandit" is still seen on TV regularly....but the song that spawned the movie starring Kris Kristofferson and Ali McGraw was "Convoy"...sung by CW McCall. McCall's alter-ego, Bill Fries, was Mayor of Ouray, Colorado for six years.
