The original band consisted of Dan Peek, Gerry Beckley, Dewey Bunnell, whose fathers were stationed in England in the early 1970's. Dan Peek left the band in 1977, and sadly passed away in 2011. Today Beckley and Bunnell still tour, and still sound great with hits such as "Tin Man" and "Horse With No Name".

The band, Poco, was originally formed by Richie Furay (Buffalo Springfield), Jim Messina (Loggins and Messina) Rusty Young, and others including Randy Meisner (Eagles) and Timothy B. Schmidt (Eagles) in southern California. Current band members are Rusty Young, Jack Sundrud, George Lawrence, and Michael Webb, and they put on quite a show! Rusty can really play that steel guitar!

Sadly, both of the Caldwell brothers have passed away, and the only founding member who is still with the band is Doug Gray. The group celebrated five gold records including "The Marshall Tucker Band", "A New Life", "Where We All Belong", "Searching for a Rainbow", and "Together Forever", as well as two platinum, "Carolina Dreams" and "Greatest Hits".

The founding members of the band were Dave Matthews, singer and guitarist, bassist Stefan Lessard, Carter Beauford, who plays the drums, and saxophonist LeRoi Moore, who passed away in 2008. Soon after the band was formed, Boyd Tinsley was added to the band as a violinist.

The Warehouse Fan Association, or The Warehouse, is the official fan association for DMB. Members are able to buy early concert tickets, and other merchandise.

Robert Lamm came from Roosevelt University. Eventually Peter Cetera was added to the group, who had to change their name to Chicago when the Chicago Transit Authority threatened legal action!
