Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who was Public Enemy's DJ when "Yo! Bum Rush the Show" was released?

Answer: Terminator X

Terminator X also released a solo project featuring several unheard of artists called "Terminator X in the Valley of Jeep Beats." In my opinion, the beats were excellent but the lyrics needed some work.
2. Who was Rob Base's DJ on the "It Takes Two" album?

Answer: DJ EZ-Rock

What ever happened to this one hit wonder? They still play "It Takes Two" everywhere... clubs, sporting events, I've even heard a metal band cover it.
3. Who was Rakim's DJ who "will make you clap to this?"

Answer: Eric B.

One of the BEST! Always strong beats and key scratches. I can't wait for a reunion of the two. Can you say "Microphone Fiend" part two?
4. Who was Salt-N-Pepa's DJ when their "Mic Sounded Nice"?

Answer: Spinderella

Not sure what purpose she served other than a pretty face on an album cover. By S&P's third album, they had a brand new DJ...amazingly her name was also Spinderella.
5. Who was Ice-T's DJ from the "Rhyme Pays" and "Power" albums?

Answer: Evil E

Another DJ who was primarily a record spinner.
6. Who was Big Daddy Kane's DJ who had a "Master Plan"?

Answer: Mister Cee

"Who's the man with the master plan?" Mister Cee was a true shredder! I believe Kane put it best when he said "He keeps the crowd stable, killin' the cuts, puttin' bodies on the record label".
7. Who was The Fresh Prince's DJ on "He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper" album?

Answer: Jazzy Jeff

Overlooked as a superior DJ because of Prince's comedic style, but this guy can cut a record to shreds. I saw him back in 1989 and I was quite impressed with his scratchin'.
8. Who was the Ghetto Boys' DJ on the "Makin' Trouble" and "Grip It" albums?

Answer: Reddy Red

Reddy Red was not known for being a particularly strong scratcher. He later was featured on Ghetto Boys' albums as an MC. After they released their first two albums, they changed the way they spelled the band's name from "Ghetto Boys" to "Geto Boys".
9. Who was NWA's DJ who was also coming "Straight Outta Compton"?

Answer: Yella

Yella put together some nice beats in his NWA days. He then went on to Aftermath Records with fellow NWA member Dre.
10. Who was King Tee's DJ on "Triflin'" album?

Answer: Pooh

DJ Pooh can be credited with helping create the "Friday" movies along with fellow West Coast rap pioneer Ice Cube.
