The original cover for this album was with the band wearing butcher-smocks and had chunks of bloody meat and decapitated baby dolls on them. Some American promoters did not like that and demanded they change the cover. It was changed to where they were hanging around a trunk. John's comments on the Beatles being "bigger than Jesus" was brought to the public around the time the "Revolver" album was released.
