"Right Here Waiting" was recorded on Marx's second album, "Repeat Offender" - there is no reference as to whether or not the offence was the bad haircut though... According to Wikipedia, the song was written by Marx for his wife who was abroad at the time working in South Africa.

The song did reach the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, peaking at number fourteen.

Alvin and the Chipmunks recorded a cover of the Jesus Jones song for a 2007 video game and the High School Musical version has been recorded and released in several different languages (although by other artists).

In this instance, it's unlikely that Breakfast Club was inspired by the movie 'The Breakfast Club' (1985), as they formed in the late 1970s. Madonna was the drummer for Breakfast Club in the early 1980s, and was 'allowed' to sing some lead vocals before leaving to form her own group Emmy and the Emmys.
