"My Coo Ca Choo" was the first successful release for Alvin Stardust hitting the number two spot in the UK charts in December 1973. In the 60's Alvin Stardust was originally called Shane Fenton and was backed by the The Fentones. Alvin Stardust went solo in the early 70's. Glam rock was the fashion at this time and many solo artists tried their luck with this style of music. "My Coo Ca Choo" was the only hit single released in 1973 for Alvin Stardust.
