"Smooth Operator" was the fourth single released from their album "Diamond Life", and it made it to number five on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. It was co-written by Sade Adu.

The Billboard Year End Hot 100 in 1985 listing has "Smooth Operator" at number sixty two.
