Answer: Santana

Santana performed "Soul Sacrifice" at the first Woodstock, and "Black Magic Woman", and "Oye Como Va" at Woodstock '94.
2. At which of these festivals did the legendary Bob Dylan play?

Answer: Woodstock '94

He didn't make it in 1969, though he lived nearby. Some of the songs he performed in 1994 were "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright", "Jokerman", and "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue"
3. Some of the hits this band played in 1969 included "Bad Moon Rising", "Green River" and "Proud Mary"

Answer: Creedence Clearwater Revival

CCR was not on the original Soundtrack album, and did not appear in the movie. CCR split up on bad terms and were not functioning in 1994.
4. James Taylor played at _____?

Answer: Neither

James Taylor started recording in the late 1960's, and probably would have fit in well with the performers at the first Woodstock. Taylor is still playing his laid-back brand of music today.
5. Hugh Romney's alter-ego made stage announcements at both Woodstock and Woodstock '94? Who is his alter-ego?

Answer: Wavy Gravy

Wavy Gravy lent his special charm to both festivals. Chip Monck and Muskrat made announcements at the first Woodstock. Larry "Bud" Melman was at Woodstock '94.
6. This band played at Woodstock, but not Woodstock '94. One of its founding members died almost exactly one year after Woodstock '94. Who is this band?

Answer: The Grateful Dead

The Dead played "Dark Star", "St. Stephen", and "Turn On Your Love Light" among others. Jerry Garcia died almost exactly (August 9th, 1995) one year after Woodstock '94.
7. Do you remember at which of the following Traffic performed?

Answer: Woodstock '94

While Traffic may have been a big name in 1969, they couldn't have played at the first Woodstock because they split up in April of 1969. Steve Winwood formed a slightly new incarnation of Traffic in 1970 which disbanded in 1974. In 1994 Winwood re-formed Traffic with moderate success, this was of course the version of the band that played at Woodstock '94.
8. Which of these bands played at the first Woodstock only?

Answer: The Who

The Who played a large chunk of their 1969 classic rock opera "Tommy" and ushered in the sunrise on Sunday morning. (They started playing at about 3:00 AM). The other three played at both shows.
9. Crosby, Stills and Nash played at Woodstock and Woodstock '94

Answer: True

Even though Neil Young joined them for a few numbers in 1969, CS&N were credited as a trio only for a portion of their set. Neil was not with them in '94.
10. Which band was scheduled to perform at Woodstock '94 but could not make it?

Answer: Alice In Chains

Alice In Chains were scheduled to perform at Woodstock '94, but were not able to make it to the show. Johnny Cash was scheduled to perform, but is not a band.
