2. Which of the following STP album sold the most units?

"Core" has to date sold over 7 Million copies. "Purple" has sold 6, "Tiny Music" 2, and finally "No. 4" has "only" gone one time platinum.
3. Which drug has led to Scott Weiland's addiction, multiple arrests, and imprisonment?

Answer: heroin

While it may be true that Weiland has most likely had problems with multiple drugs, it is heroin that really hurt the singer for much of his career including the strangely trippy "Tiny Music" era.
4. Which one of the following songs has STP not covered on an officially released single or album (including soundtracks and tributes)?

Answer: "My Generation" [The Who]

Stone Temple Pilots have performed a number of cover songs in their career. In fact, they are probably one of the best unofficial cover bands of the last twenty years. Unfortunately, they have yet to record a song from The Who.
5. Which band was Stone Temple Pilots consistently compared to and accused of copying at the time of their debut with "Core?"

Answer: Pearl Jam

At the time that STP made their debut, people failed to realize that their music wasn't "Grunge" and rather was good clean hard rock. Not just that, most people saw Weiland and company as shallow copy-cats of Pearl Jam.
6. What was the name of the sideproject pursued by the DeLeo brothers and Eric Kretz while Weiland was otherwise preoccupied?

Answer: Talk Show

While indeed the three others are real bands, it is Talk Show that the three active members of the band formed with singer Dave Coutts (Ten Inch Men). The only album from the foursome was released in 1997.
7. What record label did STP record all of their albums for up until and including their 2003 "Greatest Hits?"

STP signed with Atlantic not long before "Core" and the label has remained dedicated to them since.
8. Which producer is well known for having worked with Stone Temple Pilots on multiple occasions over their first five studio releases?

"Core" was released to stores well before Soundgarden's "Superunknown" but after both Nirvana's "Nevermind" and Pearl Jam's "Ten".
13. What was the name of Scott Weiland's 1998 solo effort?

Answer: 12 Bar Blues

This overall very well received album got little airplay, but based on Weiland's popularity ended up in the top 50 albums on Billboard. Songs including "Mockingbird Girl", "Barbarella", and "About Nothing" are some of the best the album has to offer.
14. What is the name of STP's 2003 greatest hits collection?

"Thank You" was released in two forms. The first included one disc and fifteen songs. The second adds a DVD with all of the band's videos, bootlegs, and just about anything else you can imagine included.
15. Brothers Dean and Robert DeLeo are both members of Stone Temple Pilots. Is this statement true or false: Dean primarily plays guitar and Robert plays bass guitar.

Answer: True

Both brothers are highly important parts of STP. However, it is brother Dean who has always had the higher profile. He plays a variety of guitars and has many producing and writing credits to his name.
16. Throughout 2000, STP toured in support of their album "No. 4". With that said, they were not the only headlining act. Who was one of the main headlining acts?

17. Which major touring rock concert was Stone Temple Pilots a part of in 2001?

Answer: Family Values Tour

Despite the fact that STP was mismatched with Staind, Linkin Park, Deadsy, and Static X they managed to headline the concert which officially ran from October 11, 2001 through November 17, 2001.
18. Which actress starred in a certain strange STP video from the album "No. 4"?

19. On the ill-fated 2001 album "Shangri-La Dee Da," which two songs were the only modest hits?

Only "Hollywood Bitch" and "Days of the Week" were any kind of hits. The album itself has to date sold just over gold status and remains the worst received album from the band to date.
20. Which album from STP was the biggest departure in sound from the others?

Answer: Tiny Music...

Far and away, "Tiny Music..." was strange in comparison to the other straight-ahead rock albums released over the years by Stone Temple Pilots. The 1996 album featured songs rooted in psychedelia, trancy shoegaze, jangle pop, and other forms of melodic alternative guitar-pop.
