Born August 17, 1893 in Brooklyn, New York, Mae was arrested and spent ten days in jail for her play "Sex" in 1926. She wrote the screenplay for many of the movies she starred in, including "She Done Him Wrong" which was nominated for a Best Picture Oscar in 1934.
2. Which tennis player and diabetic won the 1968 US Open, the 1975 Wimbledon, and was also the #1 player in the world in 1968 and 1975?

Answer: Arthur Ashe

Arthur Ashe was born in Richmond, Virginia on July 10, 1943. He won the US Open in 1968, Australian Open in 1970 and Wimbledon in 1975. He died of AIDS, contracted from an infected blood transfusion, on February 6, 1993.
