The Renaissance is the name given to the revival and spread of learning that took place from the 1400s. Henry VII invited Italian scholars to the country, and the Renaissance's greatest expression in England was in the field of Literature.
2. Whose murder occurred at the beginning of Robert I (the Bruce)'s reign?

Answer: John Comyn (the Red)

These two met in a church at Dumfries. When Robert Bruce left the church he said, 'I doubt me I have killed the Red Comyn!' His followers completed the murder.

This distinction was attained at the Battle of Dettingen in 1743. The Battle was fought during the War of the Austrian Succession. George II died on 25th October 1760.

Lord Melbourne, Sir Robert Peel, Lord John Russell, Lord Derby, Lord Aberdeen, Viscount Palmerston, Benjamin Disraeli, William Ewart Gladstone, Lord Rosebery and Lord Salisbury.
Melbourne and Disraeli had the greatest effect on the Queen, while she disliked Gladstone intensely.
