1. Steamhouses were an important part of the Delaware's life. When women got out of the steamhouse, which of these colors would they not paint their face with dyes?

Answer: Blue

The Steamhouses were considered the remedy of a lot of illnesses. After steambaths, the men painted their bodies and if it was right before a war, they would paint themselves with red paint, the color of war.
2. Living between the Great Lakes and Delaware River, water was important. Which of these boats were crafted by the Delawares?

Answer: Canoe

The canoes the Delawares made were commonly out of the bark of birch trees. The boats were strong but leightweight. The process of building canoes took place in the spring. The men cut the bark and the women sewed it together.
3. Which of these is not one of the three major groups the Delaware Indians were classified into?

Answer: Galantino

These three groups, although all Delaware Indians, spoke different dialects of the Algonquin language. The Delaware name for themself was 'Lenni Lenape', or 'genuine people'.

In 1818, the Delaware surrendered all of their land to the now Americans. At that time some of them moved to Missouri, and the Munsee specifically moved to Middletown.

Answer: 1996

However, the government only recognizes two groups -- the Sand Hill tribe of Lenape and the Naticoke Lenape. However, there are many more groups, such as the Rampapough Mountain and Powhatan-Renape Nation. Rampapough is located in New Jersey and Powhatan-Renape northeast of Phildadelphia.
6. Carol Galantino is truly a savior -- she gave back her land to the Delawares. How many acres was in that present?

Answer: 11 and a half

However, sadly, Carol Galantino passed away from leukemia. The Delaware Indians have not made any decision on what to do with the land.

Answer: East

These holes, filled with tobacco, was placed in order to try to appease the spirit of the plant. There are many more fascinating rituals that the Delaware herbalists followed.

Answer: Colds

Also to treat for colds they used skunk oil, roasted onion syrup, and charred pig's hooves. Mud was also supposed to treat burns. I wouldn't reccomend trying any of these.

Answer: K' daholel

N' gagelicksi means 'I Laugh' in Delaware, N' menne means 'I Drink', and N' gattungwan means 'I Sleep'.
