John Logie Baird (1888-1946) was a Scottish engineer and innovator. He demonstrated the first working television system in January 1926. In 1928 he achieved the first transatlantic television transmission.

John McEnroe is an American and former World No. 1 professional tennis player. His seven Grand Slam singles titles were three at Wimbledon and four at the US Open. He also won nine Grand Slam Men's Doubles titles and one Grand Slam Mixed Doubles title.

It was number one from November 6 - December 4, 1961. The song tells the story of a quite mannered but mysterious miner who gains the nickname Big Bad John, due to his height and muscular physique.

He is believed to have killed a man in New Orleans but during a collapse in a mine he saves 20 miners but is sadly lost himself amongst the rubble. Jimmy Dean won the Grammy Award for Best Country and Western Recording in 1962.

10. Chuck Berry

Chuck Berry is a pioneer of rock and roll music. He is a guitarist, singer and songwriter and has had numerous hit songs. "Johnny B. Goode" was written and recorded by Chuck Berry in 1958. This song is one of his most famous and was ranked as number seven on Rolling Stone's list of "500 Greatest Songs of All Time".
