On 21 July 1960, Sirimavo Bandaranaike became Sri Lanka's Prime Minister. This was six years before Indira Gandhi in India, and 19 years prior to Margaret Thatcher's Prime Ministership in the UK.

Answer: Geoffrey Chaucer

Chaucer is known as the "Father of English Literature" due to his role in establishing English as a reputable langauge for literature. While the "Canterbury Tales" are his best known work, he was a prolific author who wrote a large volume of poetry and even a number of scientific works.
