Answer: Martha Beck

Martha was a nurse in Florida when she met Raymond Fernandez through a lonely hearts club. He was surprised to find himself in love with this rather large sized woman. Their scam was to swindle money and goods from lonely women. It is believed that the first killing was due to Martha's jealousy. They were both electrocuted in the US in 1951.

Judias insured all of her victims before killing them. She also took her paralyzed son out in a canoe with her younger son. Alas, it tipped over and only she and her younger, healthy son made it to land. In March 1998 she became the first woman electrocuted in Florida.
4. This lady shot her three children, killing one and wounding the other two. Her alibi was that a shaggy headed man stopped her on the way home from a friend's house, and shot her children and then shot her in the arm. This took place in Oregon in 1983. Who is she?

Answer: Diane Downs

Diane did all of this because of a lover named Lew Lewiston, who didn't want any children. She thought by getting rid of them that he would come back to her. Her one daughter, Cheryl, died after suffering two gunshots. Her daughter Christie Ann testified that her mother had shot them while in the car listening to the song "Hungry like the Wolf." In 1986 the two surviving children, Christie and Danny, were adopted by the DA who prosecuted their mother, Fred Hugi.
5. This interesting lady not only poisoned her husband, mother and daughter, she also poisoned the police officer who was calling on her to investigate break-ins in her house in Alabama. An excellent TV movie was made with Judith Light about her life. She was born in 1933 and died in 1987. What is her name?

Answer: Audrey Marie Hilley

Marie Hilley didn't succeed in killing her daughter, although she did get away with her husband's and mother's death. She was sentenced to life in prison, but escaped and died of exposure on the porch of her childhood home in 1987.
6. Lizzie Borden was found guilty of the murder of her father and stepmother.

Answer: False

There have been several theories regarding other suspects, although I think the most likely is Lizzie. A theory regarding Lizzie as having a form of epilepsy and killing her stepmother in a seizure is interesting, but not proven.
7. Myra Hindley and Ian Brady caused a lot of terror in England during their crime spree in the 1960s. What nickname were they known as?

Answer: The Moors Murderers

Ian was a Nazi worshipper and Myra would dress up in black leather outfits and pose with a whip like Nazi SS officers. These two were truly sick whackos. They taped the death sounds of one small victim and this was played in court.

Genene was a licensed vocational nurse who possibly suffered from Munchausen's. Witnesses who were around when she resuscitated the victims testified that she was trembling and very excited. She also subjected herself to several operations and hospital stays. She was sentenced to 99 years in prison for the San Antonio slayings and 60 years for the Bexar County slayings.
10. Women who kill sometimes claim abuse at the hands of men as their reason to kill. This scary lady has been dubbed America's first female serial killer. She was convicted of killing four of the six men she was tried for and sentenced to death in Florida, finally paying the ultimate price in the 2000s. Who is she?

Answer: Aileen Carol Wuornos

Aileen was a truly scary figure, although her life history does read truly horrifying. She claimed her victims attempted to rape her and she blacked out during the killings. She confessed to all six killings to save her then lover, Tyria Moore. In a really bizarre twist to this case, in 1991 Aileen was legally adopted by Arlene Pralle, who said Jesus had told her to write Aileen.
11. Our next fair maiden was known as "The Trunk Murderess." On October 19, 1931, a baggage man for the Los Angeles station of Southern Pacific reported a bad smell coming from two trunks. When she left to get the key and never returned, the trunks were opened to find a nude body of a female in one and a dismembered corpse of a female in the other. Who was the blond woman who killed these two rivals?

Answer: Winnie Ruth Judd

Winne Ruth slew Agnes LeRoi and Hedvig Samuelson, known as Anne and Sammy, because of a love affair she was having. Her husband was arriving in town and it is suggested that Anne was going to tell on her and that was the motive for the killing. In May 1952 her death sentence was commuted and if she could prove her sanity, she could very possibly be released from the state mental facility where she was imprisoned.
12. Our next lady hails from Germany, where she was a devoted follower of Adolf Hitler. She was camp supervisor at Auschwitz beginning in 1942 where she constantly abused prisoners both physically and mentally. She was hanged December 13, 1945 by the British. Who is she?

Answer: Irma Grese

Irma took out her sexual frustrations on prisoners. Witnesses describe how she would pick out large breasted women and cut their breasts open with her whip. She would give the appearance of a woman in orgasm, cheeks flush, swaying in rhythm and foam at the mouth. She never displayed any remorse or regret.
13. This was the young woman who killed Marat during the French Revolution, simply because she felt he was a foul beast and innocent people were dying because of him. What is her name?

Answer: Susan Smith

Susan had the whole country first in tears then in rage as she led us on for a week about her poor babies, when all the time she knew where her red Mazda and her boys were.
