Answer: Valmiki

Valmiki was a great saint of the ancient times. His works of Sanskrit are well known throughout India. He belonged to the Koli tribe in Maharashtra. He had done many evil deeds in his life, hence his wife and kids hated him. He decided to do some good deeds and began writing the text of Ramayana. He took a vow that by the completion of the script, his sins would flow away.

Answer: Hanuman and Bhima

While taking a stroll on the road, Bhima comes across a monkey with his tail covering the road. Bhima tries to move his tail with his gada (A weapon used commonly in the Hindu epics). Suddenly, when he realises that Hanuman has taken the avatar of the monkey, he bows before him and apologises. These two characters are among the very few who link Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Indrajeet was the elder son of Ravana. He had taken a vow to kill Laxman in Ramayana. In the battle between Indrajeet and Laxman he seriously injured Laxman after which Hanuman had bought the Sanjeevani boothi (herb) to cure him. Nevertheless, Indrajeet lost the battle and his life.
