Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. According to Genesis 4:22 (KJV), who was the sister of Tubalcain?

Answer: Naamah

Naamah was the youngest child of Lamech and Zillah. She was a descendant of Cain.
2. Who was Abigail's husband?

Answer: Nabal

I Samuel 25:25 describes Nabal by saying, "folly is with him". David asked Nabal for supplies but Nabal refused. As a result the Lord killed Nabal (I Samuel 25:38). Abigail ended up marrying David (I Samuel 25:39).
3. Who did Ahab say the following to according to I Kings 21:2 (KJV)? "Give me the vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house."

Answer: Naboth

In the following verse, Naboth told Ahab that the Lord forbade him to give away his father's vineyard. Naboth was a Jezreelite.
4. In Nahum 1:1 (KJV), what word is used to describe Nahum?

Answer: Elkoshite

Nahum's book deals with the Lord's anger toward Nineveh. Nineveh's people were not doing what God wanted them to do. That is, they were disobeying God. As a result, God made it so they would have no more descendants.
5. Who was Ruth's mother-in-law?

Answer: Naomi

In the book of Ruth, Naomi and her daughters-in-law lost their husbands during a famine. Orpah went back with her people, but Ruth stayed with Naomi saying, 'thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God." (Ruth 1:16 KJV)
6. Who did Jesus see under a fig tree according to John 1:48 (KJV)?

Answer: Nathaniel

Nathaniel tells Jesus in John 1:44, "Rabbi, Thou art the Son of God, Thou art the king of Israel." Nathaniel's name means "God has given".
7. How is the navel described in Song of Solomon 7:2 (KJV)?

Answer: like a round goblet

The verse also says, "the belly is like an heap of wheat set about with lilies." The word navel is mentioned four times in the Bible, all in the Old Testament.
8. According to Proverbs 6:12 (KJV), what kind of person "walketh with a froward mouth"?

Answer: naughty

I was surprised to learn the word naughty is in the Bible three times. Twice it is talking about man and once it is talking about figs.
9. In Daniel 3, who had Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego thrown into the fiery furnace?

Answer: Nebuchadnezzar

Nebuchadnezzar was king of Babylon at this point. By chapter 4 he had gone crazy and was outside eating grass (Daniel 4:33). The verse also says, "his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws."
10. What does Jesus tell the people it's better to have a millstone hung around than to offend "the little ones", according to Matthew 18:6 (KJV)?

Answer: neck

A millstone is a stone used to grind wheat. They come in pairs. The bottom doesn't move but the upper moving stone grinds whatever is beneath it. Having a millstone around your neck would be very heavy and the weight of it would kill you.
