Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In II Samuel 23:35 (KJV), what was the name of the Arbite?

Answer: Paarai

Paarai was one of David's heroes. His name means "opening of the Lord".
2. Where was Rebekah originally from?

Answer: Padanaram

She was from the house of Bethuel according to Genesis 25:20. Issac was 40 years old when he married her.
3. What p-word does Revelation 21:4 (KJV) say there will be no more of in Heaven?

Answer: pain

It also says there will be no more tears, death sorrow or crying. John was on the island of Patmos when he wrote the book of Revelation. It is a prophetic book that shows us what will happen in the end as well as gives us a glimpse of what Heaven will be like.
4. When Jesus healed the man of palsy, the Pharisees complained that he told the man his sins were forgiven, so what did Jesus tell the man (KJV)?

Answer: Arise take up thy bed, and go unto thine house

This story can be found in Matthew chapter 9 (KJV). The friends of the man with palsy couldn't get in to see Jesus because of the crowd, so they lowered him and his bed through the roof.
5. What does John say in 2 John 1:12 (KJV) that he didn't want to write with?

Answer: paper and ink

He said he'd rather come and speak to them face to face. 1,2 and 3 John were written by the same John who wrote the Gospel of John. He may also have written Revelation.
6. According to I Chronicles 9:12 (KJV), who was the father of Jeroham?

Answer: Pashur

Pashur's father was Malkijah. Pashur's name means "that extends or multiplies the hole" or "whiteness". He came from a family of priests.
7. Who said, "For me to live is Christ and to die is to gain" in Philippians 1:21 (KJV)?

Answer: Paul

Philippians is one of the epistles (letters) that Paul wrote to churches in various cities. This one was written to the church in Philippi. When he said to live is Christ he meant if he lived he could continue preaching the Gospel. However, if he died he would be with Jesus in Heaven.

Therefore, he didn't worry whether or not the Romans (who had him in prison when he wrote this letter) would kill him or not.
8. How does Ezekiel 28:15 (KJV) say we were originally?

Answer: perfect

It says we were perfect "till iniquity was found in thee". This means when God created humans (Adam and Eve) they were created perfectly, but after Adam and Eve sinned we were no longer perfect. Many Christians believe that although Eve ate the forbidden fruit first, Adam is responsible because, as head of the household, he should have stopped it all before it happened.
9. According to Romans 16:1 (KJV), who was a "servant of the church which is at Cenchrea"?

Answer: Phebe

Phebe was a rather wealthy woman, based on Romans 16:2. We know she was a Christian because Paul refers to her as his sister. Her name means "bright and pure".
10. What was Hillel, according to Judges 12:13 (KJV)?

Answer: Pirathonite

A Pirathonite was someone from or who lived in Pirathon. Hillel and Benaiah were both Pirathonites, based on I Chronicles 27:14.
