Rosemary and Billie Jean King teamed up for 14 Grand Slam finals doubles matches between 1966 and 1975. The pair won five Wimbledon titles and two US titles. Her other two doubles championship partners were Judy Tegart Dalton for the 1971 US Open title and Wendy Turnbull for the 1982 US Open title.

Jack Cannon is in the College Hall of Fame and was an All-American for Notre Dame in 1929 at guard. Jack Pardee, born in Exira, Iowa, is also in the College Hall of Fame. He played six-man football in high school and was later an All-American linebacker at Texas A&M in 1956. He became the first man to be a head coach in college, the NFL, the United States Football League, the World Football League, and the Canadian Football League.
