1. How long should it take to do the beam routine?

Answer: Between 1 min. and 1 min. 10 sec.

At most meets, they ring a bell once after 1 minute for a warning, and twice after 1 minute 10 seconds. The judges can take off points if you are too fast or too slow. On all levels of gymnastics competition, the beam routine should take about a minute, depending on the routine.

Answer: Back Walkover

The back walkover is in the level 6 beam routine, which is much harder than the level 4 beam routine.
3. In the beam routine, the handstand has to be all the way up to vertical?

Answer: False

The handstand only has to be up to a 3/4 handstand position, which is almost all the way up.
4. In the arabesqe-scale-arabesqe combination, how high does your lifted leg have to be in each of the arabesques?

Answer: 45 degrees

In the arabesque, your chest should be straight and vertical, and your bad leg should be lifted behind you as high as it can go.
