3. Which one of these players was on the Browns roster in the 1950s?

Answer: Chuck Noll

Chuck Knoll played linebacker for the Browns. He played his entire professional career as a Brown but is more famous for being the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993 as a coach. Doak Walker, Jack Christiansen, and Joe Schmidt were part of the Detroit Lions in the 1950s. Doak was a running back, Jack was a safety and Joe played the linebacker position. All three have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
4. What university did 1957 draft pick Jim Brown attend?

Answer: Syracuse University

Jim Brown played fullback and was the first round sixth pick by the Cleveland Browns in 1957. He retired as a player after nine seasons with the Browns, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1971.
5. Who was the owner of the Browns that signed the deal to move the team to Baltimore in 1995?

Answer: Art Modell

Moving the Browns to Baltimore from Cleveland made for ill-feelings in both cities, but especially in Cleveland. Lawsuits were filed and eventually the city of Cleveland was allowed to retain the team's name, colors, and history after a brief period of deactivation in the league.
6. What year did Cleveland return to the NFL after the move to Baltimore?

Answer: 1999

After a long three years of inactivity to Cleveland fans, the Browns began playing in Cleveland again as an expansion team under the ownership of Alfred Lerner in 1999. They finished the 1999 season at 2-14.
7. Who did the new NFL Cleveland team choose with their first pick of their first draft?

Answer: Tim Couch, QB Kentucky

The new franchise's first pick came in 1999. Tim was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 1998, losing to Ricky Williams, RB out of Texas. Couch was released by the Browns in 2004 after several mediocre seasons.
8. What were Cleveland's team colors in 2007?

Answer: Orange and brown

The orange and brown had been a part of the Browns since their inaugural season. The Browns are known as an NFL team without a logo on the helmet. Traditionally, the helmet is orange with brown and white stripes down the center.
9. What was the name given to the fan's seating area located in the east end of the Browns stadium?

Answer: Dawg Pound

The Dawg Pound supposedly got its name from the Cleveland defense. Retired Cleveland cornerback Hanford Dixon called the mid-1980s defense, "The Dawgs". He and other fellow players would bark at each other and at the fans in the east end to get a little fan support going.
10. Pro Football Hall of Famer Lou Groza played offensive tackle, but was also famous for playing what other position?

Answer: Place kicker

He was nicknamed Lou "The Toe" Groza. He played his entire career for the Browns, playing both positions but took one season off. When he rejoined the team he played solely as a kicker.
