Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. If I just made a SF to score the runner from third. What did I do?

Answer: Got a Sacrifice Fly

To get a sacrifice fly you try and hit the ball into the outfield far enough that when the outfielder catches the ball a runner on the bases, mostly third, gets to another base.
2. In my last AB I hit a home run. Where was I at when I did this?

Answer: At Bat

3. If I hit a ball on the infield and GO to the second baseman what did I do? Pick the one that BEST works.

Answer: Grounded Out

4. My SLG% is 1.657. What does the SLG stand for?

Answer: Slugging

This can be found by taking the total bases of a player and dividing them by their at bats.
5. If the Yankees played in the American League, then the Cardinals played in what specific league?

Answer: NL

The Cardinals play in the National League (NL). MLB wouldn't work because it stands for Major League Baseball which is not a specific league.
6. Albert Pujols is a R hitter. Ken Griffey Jr. is a L hitter. Chipper Jones is a S hitter. What does S stand for?

Answer: Switch

Switch hitting means that you are able to bat from both sides of the plate (i.e. left handed or right handed).
7. Ken Griffey Jr. plays OF for the Reds. What does this stand for in baseball acronyms?

Answer: Outfield

8. What does this stand for? I just got a H into right center.

Answer: Hit

Self-explanatory!
9. The pitcher threw a screwball and I was HBP. What does the H in HbP stand for?

Answer: Hit

The whole phrase stands for Hit by Pitch therefore the H would be Hit.
10. My OBP is very low. What should I do to correct this?

Answer: Get on Base

If you OBP or On Base Percent needs to be raised you need to get on base.
