It was the Pittsburgh Pirates. This movie was found to be President Eisenhower's favorite. The Angels did not exist in 1951.
2. What is the minimum distance that the left and right field fences at the foul pole must be from home plate in a Major League park?

Answer: 325 feet

The standard was set by Major League baseball in 1959 with a minimum distance of 325 feet down each foul line.
3. Who was baseball's first Rookie of the Year?

Answer: Jackie Robinson

Brooklyn Dodger great Jackie Robinson was given the award in 1947. 45 years later it was officially renamed the Jackie Robinson award although it is still widely referred to as the Rookie of the Year award. In 1947 he batted .297 with 12 home runs and 48 RBI's.
4. Why did the Cincinnati Reds send an autographed second base bag to movie star Roy Rogers?
