Bryan Herta, despite only driving in one race in 2000, was under contract with Championship Forsythe Racing for the 2001 season. Michael Andretti left Newman-Haas Racing to join Team Motorola. 4. Which former Formula 1 driver was chosen to pilot Morris Nunn's second entry in the series?

Answer: Alex Zanardi

Alex Zanardi, after a miserable 1999 stint with F1's Team Williams, and a season off in 2000, joined Mo Nunn Racing as the team's second car in the No. 66 Pioneer Honda.
5. Which of the following CART tracks are not located in California?

Answer: Paul Tracy

Michael Andretti finished third for Team Motorola. Bruno Junqueira and Jimmy Vasser finished fourth and fifth, respectively, for Target Chip Ganassi Racing. Paul Tracy was not allowed to race for Ganassi because of his contract with KOOL.
8. Which city below hosts its annual CART event at their downtown airport?

Answer: Cleveland

While Houston and Vancouver race on the streets of downtown, Cleveland holds the distinction of being the only major race in the world to be held on airport runways. This course offers the drivers 12-car wide straightaways and more passing zones than any other course on the circuit.
9. Including the 2001 race, which of these drivers has never won the Michigan 500?

Answer: Max Papis

While Max Papisled the most laps in the 2001 race, he crashed with teammate Kenny Brack with 14 laps to go, allowing Patrick Carpentier to win his first CART race in a breath-taking five car battle. Also, Papis took the white flag as the leader in 1999 only to run out of gas in Turn 3 giving Tony Kanaas his first CART win.

Answer: Oriol Servia

Oriol Servia was chosen to drive for the Chicago-based Sigma Autosport after Max Wilson left the team to join the newly-formed Arciero-Blair Racing Team. Shinji Nakano drives the No. 52 for Fernandez Racing, while Michel Jourdain, Jr. drives the No. 16 car for Herdez-Bettenhausen Racing.
