Answer: Peter Bondra

Bondra passed long time leader Mike Gartner when he scored his 780th point.
2. Coming to the team in 1982, which player won the Norris Trophy twice while with the Caps?

Answer: Rod Langway

He won in 82-83 and again in 83-84.
3. Which player is the only Capital to have ever worn number 7?

Answer: Yvon Labre

Labre was on the original Caps team, and because of his contributions, the Caps retired his #7 on November 22, 1980.
4. The Caps were so bad in their first season that they only won eight games. Which goalie won all those games for the Caps?

Answer: Ron Low

Low went 8-36-2, Belhumeur went 0-24-3, and Adams went 0-7-0. Wolf did not play until the next season (75-76) where he went 5-23-7.

Answer: Jim Carey

Carey won it in 95-96. Kolzig would win go on to win it in 99-00.

Pretty impressive. They led the league as well in 90-91 (86.0) and in 83-84 (86.7). In 99-00 they were 7th in the league at 86.2.

Answer: Adam Oates

Oates had 69 which tied him with Jaromir Jagr for the league lead. The next closest Cap was Gonchar with 38, then Bondra with 36. Pivonka, although the Caps career leader in assists, had already retired by then.
9. Who was the first captain of the Capitals?

Answer: Doug Mohns

Mohns was the captain in 74-75. Clement and Labre shared the captaincy in 75-76. Bailey was never captain of the Caps.
10. Which coach replaced his own brother as coach of the Caps?

Answer: Terry Murray
