Gianfranco played his first game for Italy in 1991 against Norway. He missed a vital penalty against Germany in Euro 96, which meant that Italy would not progress from the group stages. He was voted as Chelsea's greatest player of all-time in 2003. He played for Napoli, Parma, and Cagliari amongst others in the Italian league.

Ricardo played his first game for Portugal in October 2003 against Albania. He was part of the Porto team that won the champions league in 2004. He was also voted the best defender in the Champions League for that year.

He was famously sent off for Chelsea in the 2008 Champions League final for slapping an opponent against Manchester United. United went on to win the game on penalties. Didier played for Marseilles in the French league before signing for Chelsea in 2004.

At the 2002 World Cup, Michael picked up a booking in the semi-final which meant he would be suspended for the final. He went on to score the winning goal in the semi. He played for Chelsea between 1995 and 1998, and went on to manage the Welsh international team also. Ruud played his first game for the Dutch National Team on his 19th birthday against Switzerland in 1981. He went on to captain the Dutch to victory at Euro 88 in Germany.
